SRTMI Recruitment 2026 – Apply for Young Professional and Other Posts
Steel Research and Technology Mission of India (SRTMI), headquartered in New Delhi, is a collaborative initiative by the Indian Steel Industry, supported by the Ministry of Steel, Government of India. The organization has announced the recruitment of two Young Professional posts on a contract basis. This opportunity is aimed at professionals with a degree in engineering or technology and relevant experience, preferably in the steel sector. The selected candidates will work on specialized projects related to innovation, climate change, sustainability, digitalization, and mining or steelmaking. The contract is initially for two years and can be extended up to five years based on performance and organizational needs.

Eligibility Criteria
Education
Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or institute. Preference will be given to those holding a Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology.
Work Experience
Applicants must have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in the steel sector. Additional experience in areas such as climate change, sustainability, digitalization, mining, or steel making will be considered an advantage.
Salary
Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly salary ranging from ₹80,000 to ₹1,00,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 35 years as on 01 February 2026. No specific age relaxation has been mentioned.
