Who Can Apply for KRCL ALP Recruitment?

The recruitment is intended for candidates currently serving as Assistant Loco Pilot or Senior Assistant Loco Pilot in the regular cadre of Indian Railways.

Applicants must also hold A1 medical classification and be medically fit to perform Running Staff duties.

This is therefore not an open ALP recruitment drive for fresh ITI, Diploma or Engineering candidates who are not already serving in the required Indian Railways cadre.

Educational Qualification

Eligible serving railway employees must possess one of the prescribed qualifications, which include:

• Matriculation/SSLC with ITI in the specified trade; or
• Matriculation/SSLC with Act Apprenticeship in the specified trade; or
• HSC/12th Standard with Science; or
• Three-year Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automobile Engineering; or
• Engineering Degree in the relevant Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or Automobile discipline.

Candidates must also satisfy the existing railway service and cadre requirements prescribed for the deputation posts.

Age Limit

Candidates should not be more than 45 years old as on September 22, 2026.

KRCL ALP Pay Scale
