Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) has announced recruitment for 26 Class 1 and Class 2 positions across 15 advertisements for different departments and specialist services in Gujarat. The recruitment includes maritime, engineering, architecture, management, horticulture and other professional posts.

The GPSC Recruitment 2026 application process is being conducted online through the OJAS system, with applications accepted until October 8, 2026. Among the 26 vacancies, Assistant Port Officer has seven posts, Pilot Officer has four and Port Officer/Nautical Officer/Additional Port Officer has three, while several other advertisements cover one vacancy each.

A number of the positions have been advertised under Special Recruitment Drives for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD). Advertisement Nos. 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 53, 54, 55 and 56 of 2026-27 have been identified as PwBD recruitment vacancies.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Marine Engineering Posts

For engineering positions covered under Advertisement Nos. 42, 43 and 48, the listed requirement includes a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Marine Engineering along with the prescribed professional experience.

Depending on the particular post, approximately five to eight years of relevant experience is required.

Manager Grade 1

For the Manager Grade 1 vacancy under Advertisement No. 53/2026-27, candidates require the prescribed Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management along with two years of relevant experience.

Junior Architect

The Junior Architect position under Advertisement No. 55/2026-27 requires the prescribed qualification in Architecture, along with three years of relevant experience.

Other Class 1 and Class 2 Posts

For Port Officer, Assistant Port Officer, Traffic Officer, Safety Officer, Pilot Officer, Naval Architect, Assistant Director and Joint Director of Horticulture, candidates must satisfy the specific academic, professional, licence/registration and experience requirements given in the respective GPSC advertisement.
