RITES Limited has invited online applications for 27 Individual Consultant positions for deployment in Patna, Bihar. The recruitment covers Vacancy Codes YP/67/26 to YP/92/26, with applications accepted from October 9 to November 8, 2026, until 11:00 PM.

The openings span signalling, system integration, construction planning, track engineering, environmental management, BIM, quality assurance and other project functions. Most positions require an engineering degree, while the BIM Engineer role also accepts a relevant engineering diploma. Applicants must meet the experience requirements for their chosen vacancy.

The initial engagement will be for 12 months, with extension subject to client approval and project requirements. Monthly remuneration ranges from ₹55,000 for Team Secretary to ₹2,25,000 for the two Deputy Chief-level positions, with applicable GST admissible additionally.

RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Notification

RITES, a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, is recruiting consultants across 26 post categories. The appointments are temporary and intended for deployment at a client’s site. Offer letters depend on approval of candidates’ CVs by the client and the continued requirement for the positions.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must also satisfy the individual experience requirements for the selected role. Qualification alone does not establish eligibility.

Age Limit

Applicants must not exceed 63 years of age as on November 8, 2026.

Selection Process

Selection will comprise document scrutiny or verification followed by a personal interview. No written examination is scheduled.

The interview will assess technical skills, subject knowledge, relevant experience, communication and interpersonal capabilities. Candidates must substantiate the qualifications and experience claimed in their applications.

Police verification will be conducted under applicable Ministry of Home Affairs instructions. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining the assignment.

Contract Terms

The initial consultancy period is 12 months and may be extended according to client approval and project requirements. RITES may cancel the temporary engagement under the prescribed contractual conditions.

Provident Fund, ESI and gratuity benefits are not applicable. Full-time consultants cannot undertake another assignment during the consultancy period.
