Orissa High Court has released an official recruitment notification for the post of Junior Stenographer (Group-C) to fill a total of 25 vacancies. Salary

• Pay Level: Level-7 as per ORSP Rules, 2017
• Pay Scale: ₹ 25,500 – ₹ 81,100/-
• Includes usual Dearness Allowance and other admissible allowances.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 32 years (as on 04/09/2025)
• Date of Birth must be between 05/09/1993 and 03/09/2004
• Age Relaxation:
  • SC / ST / SEBC / Women: 5 years
  • PwD (40%-50%): 10 years
  • PwD + SC/ST/SEBC: 15 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of three stages:

1. Qualifying Test in English (100 Marks, 90 minutes)
   • Essay: 20 marks
   • Translation (Odia to English): 20 marks
   • Re-translation (English to Odia): 20 marks
   • Grammar: 40 marks
   • Qualifying marks: 35% (General), 30% (SC/ST)
2. Computer Application Test (100 Marks, 1 hour total)
   • Theory: 50 marks (30 minutes)
   • Practical: 50 marks (30 minutes)
   • Must score 50% to qualify
3. Skill Test (100 Marks)
   • Dictation of 400 words @ 80 wpm
   • Transcription @ 40 wpm (10 minutes)
   • Maximum 10% errors allowed
   • Final merit list will be based on this stage
