Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL), a Government of Odisha undertaking, has released the official recruitment notification for 60 Management Trainee (Electrical) posts through GATE 2026. Candidates possessing a Degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with a valid GATE 2026 (EE) score are eligible to apply. The recruitment will be conducted based on GATE 2026 score followed by a Personal Interview. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
• Must possess a valid GATE 2026 Score in Electrical Engineering (EE).
• Degree should be completed on or before 25 June 2026.
• Must be able to read, write and speak Odia and satisfy the prescribed Odia language requirement.
• Candidates seeking higher studies based on GATE 2026 score or requiring joining time extension should not apply.

Educational Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.
• Minimum 50% marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
• Valid GATE 2026 Score (EE Paper).

Other Requirement

• Candidate must be medically fit.
• Candidates should produce all original documents during verification.
• Knowledge of Odia language is mandatory.
• Selected candidates must execute a service bond of ₹3,00,000 and serve the organization for at least 3 years after training.

Salary

• Training Stipend: ₹50,000 per month.
• After Training: Pay Matrix Level EE-2 ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500.
• Approximate Annual CTC: ₹15 Lakhs.
