NIEPID Recruitment 2026 for 35 Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (Divyangjan) (NIEPID), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, has released Employment Notice No. 01/2026 inviting applications for 35 contractual vacancies across medical, rehabilitation, therapy, teaching, and administrative posts at its Secunderabad headquarters and regional centres in Noida, Davangere, Nellore, and Rajnandgaon. Candidates with relevant qualifications such as postgraduate medical degrees, rehabilitation and therapy degrees, special education, nursing, and other related qualifications depending on the post are eligible to apply. The selection will be conducted through personal interview, with a written screening test if required, and offline applications must be submitted before 06 April 2026.

Education
Educational qualifications vary depending on the post. Medical posts require MBBS with specialization or postgraduate medical degrees. Teaching and rehabilitation posts require M.Ed, M.Phil, Master’s degrees or specialized qualifications in rehabilitation sciences, psychology, special education or therapy fields. Nursing posts require B.Sc Nursing, while administrative and technical posts require relevant graduation or postgraduate qualifications along with professional experience.

Salary
Consultant Neurologist: Up to ₹2,50,000 per month
Assistant Professors: Around ₹75,000 per month
Rehabilitation / Therapy Posts: Approximately ₹35,000 – ₹60,000 per month
Support Staff (Caregiver, Activity Teacher): Approximately ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month

Age Limit
The maximum age limit for candidates applying for NIEPID Recruitment 2026 is 56 years. Age will be calculated as on the closing date of application submission which is 06 April 2026.
Application Fee
Candidates belonging to General and OBC categories must pay an application fee of Rs. 500 per post through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, NIEPID, Secunderabad. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Women and Persons with Disabilities categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

How to Apply
Step 1: Visit the official NIEPID website and download the prescribed application format.
Step 2: Carefully read the recruitment notification and check eligibility criteria for the desired post.
Step 3: Fill the application form clearly mentioning the post name and serial number.
Step 4: Attach self attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, RCI or MCI registration certificate where applicable, and recent passport size photographs.
Step 5: Prepare the required Demand Draft for application fee if applicable.
Step 6: Place the completed application form and documents in an envelope and superscribe the envelope with “Application for the post of ______ (Contractual)”.
Step 7: Send the application by registered post to the Director, NIEPID, Manovikasnagar, Secunderabad – 500009 before the closing date.
