3,515 Candidates Provisionally Recommended
SSC has provisionally recommended 3,515 candidates for Document Verification through the first round of tentative allocation.
The recommendation remains subject to candidates meeting all applicable eligibility and qualifying requirements. This includes qualification in the Computer Knowledge Test and Skill/Typing Test wherever prescribed for the allocated post.
Candidates should therefore treat the present allocation as provisional. Final appointment will depend on successful completion of the remaining verification and recruitment requirements.
SSC CHSL FRTA Cut-Off and Merit Process
SSC has applied the prescribed qualifying and merit criteria while preparing the tentative allocation. The official notice also specifies cut-off requirements for Section-III and Section-IV of Tier-II.
Candidates’ performance in the relevant Tier-II sections, qualifying status in CKT and Skill/Typing Test, post preferences and available vacancies are important factors in the allocation process.
The Commission has also prescribed tie-resolution rules for cases where candidates obtain equivalent merit positions. Candidates should refer to the official result notice for the exact category and post-specific cut-off details applicable to them.
Results Withheld, Cancelled and Debarred Candidates
The FRTA notice also identifies cases that have not been processed as normal recommendations. According to the result information, the results of eight candidates have been withheld.
The candidature of one candidate has been cancelled, while 12 candidates have been debarred. These cases are separate from the candidates provisionally recommended through the allocation process.
Candidates should therefore rely on the status shown against their own roll number in the official SSC notice.
SSC Introduces Sliding Mechanism for Vacancy Allocation
An important part of the latest CHSL result process is the introduction of a “Sliding Mechanism”. SSC is implementing this mechanism to improve vacancy utilisation through a single round of reallocation.
Candidates already recommended through the tentative allocation will be given an opportunity to participate according to the conditions prescribed by the Commission. The process can potentially result in reallocation based on the applicable vacancy and preference rules.
Candidates covered by the process must follow both the online and physical requirements announced by SSC.
Sliding Option Window From August 20 to 22
Recommended candidates must log in to the official SSC website between August 20 and August 22, 2026, to make the required selection for the sliding process.
Candidates will be required to select their venue, date and slot through the online facility. They should complete this step within the specified period instead of waiting until the final day.
After submitting their choice, candidates should save or print the confirmation details and carefully check any instructions regarding physical reporting.
Physical Sliding Process From September 1 to 3
The physical sliding process is scheduled to take place from September 1 to September 3, 2026, at designated cities of SSC Regional Offices.
Candidates participating in the process must physically report according to their allotted venue, date and slot. The SSC notice states that candidates who fail to attend the physical process will be treated as absent and excluded from the final result.
This makes the sliding schedule particularly important for provisionally recommended candidates. They should make travel arrangements in advance after confirming their allotted slot.
SSC CHSL Vacancy and Qualification Details
The recruitment information lists 3,131 vacancies for Clerk, Lower Division Clerk, Data Entry Operator, Junior Secretariat Assistant and other posts.
| Posts | Vacancies | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Clerk, LDC, DEO, JSA and others | 3,131 | Class 12 + applicable Typing/Skill requirements |
Candidates must have passed Class 12 or possess the equivalent qualification prescribed for their post. Skill or typing requirements apply according to the particular position.
SSC CHSL Age Limit
The prescribed age range for SSC CHSL 2025 is 18 to 27 years under the stated recruitment conditions. The applicable age cut-off should be checked against the official CHSL notification.
Relaxation in the upper age limit is available to eligible reserved and special categories according to central government and SSC rules.
Candidates proceeding to Document Verification must be able to support their date of birth and any age-relaxation claim through valid certificates.
SSC CHSL Selection Process
The SSC CHSL selection process begins with the Tier-I written examination, followed by Tier-II. Candidates are also required to qualify in the Skill Test or Typing Test where applicable to their post.
Candidates who remain within the selection range proceed to Document Verification, during which educational qualifications, category, age and other eligibility claims are checked.
The recruitment process broadly consists of Tier-I Written Examination, Tier-II Written Examination, Skill/Typing Test, Document Verification and applicable medical or appointment formalities.
