ITPO Recruitment 2026: 46 Assistant and Stenographer Vacancies, Apply Online by November 13

India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) has opened applications for 46 vacancies through a recruitment process based on existing SSC and GATE examination scores. Online registration began on October 17, 2026, and candidates must submit their applications and pay the applicable fee by November 13, 2026.

The Government of India enterprise, operating under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, is recruiting Senior Assistants, Accounts Assistants, Junior Stenographers and Junior Assistants in New Delhi. For the SSC-based positions, applications are restricted to candidates who appeared in the relevant 2024 examinations, were not finally recommended for appointment and opted to disclose their details under the applicable DoPT instructions.

The Senior Assistant Architecture position will be filled using qualifying GATE scores from 2024, 2025 or 2026 in Architecture and Planning. ITPO will not conduct a separate written examination for this recruitment.

ITPO Recruitment 2026 Notification

The direct recruitment drive covers six post categories, with qualifications, experience and examination requirements varying by position. Candidates must satisfy the relevant eligibility conditions in addition to holding the required SSC or GATE examination scores.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Senior Assistant Civil

Candidates must possess a degree or diploma in Civil Engineering. Diploma holders require one year of experience in the construction and maintenance of permanent structures, preferably exhibition structures.

Applicants must have appeared in the SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2024 and meet the conditions applicable to candidates who were not finally recommended.

Senior Assistant Electrical

A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required. Diploma holders must have one year of relevant experience. Recruitment will be based on the SSC Junior Engineer Examination 2024, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Senior Assistant Architecture

Applicants must hold a degree or diploma in Architecture. Diploma holders require one year of relevant experience.

Candidates must have secured the qualifying cut-off marks in the Architecture and Planning paper of GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026.

Assistant Accounts

Candidates must possess a B.Com degree with at least Second Division, working knowledge of computer applications and two years of experience in Finance or Accounts. The relevant SSC examination eligibility conditions also apply.

Junior Stenographer

A bachelor’s degree is required, along with shorthand and typing speeds of 80 and 40 words per minute, respectively.

The applicable examination is the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2024, for Grade C.

Junior Assistant General Cadre

Applicants must have:

• A bachelor’s degree with at least Second Division.
• English typing speed of 35 words per minute or Hindi typing speed of 30 words per minute.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Two years of post-qualification experience.

Candidates must also meet the prescribed SSC CGL Examination 2024 conditions.

Age Limit

Age will be calculated as on November 13, 2026. Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other eligible categories will follow Government of India rules.

Selection Through SSC and GATE Scores

For the Civil, Electrical, Accounts, Stenographer and General Cadre positions, final merit will be prepared using consolidated marks and merit in the applicable SSC examination. Candidates must also satisfy the educational, experience and skill requirements for their chosen post.

For Senior Assistant Architecture, selection will use marks and merit in the Architecture and Planning paper of GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026, subject to qualifying cut-off marks and eligibility requirements.

SSC-route applicants must have opted for disclosure of their details under the applicable DoPT instructions and must not have been finally recommended for appointment through the relevant examination.

Application Fee

The fee must be paid online through the application payment gateway. Payments are non-refundable.

How to Apply for ITPO Recruitment 2026

1. Open ITPO’s official recruitment application portal and review the requirements for the relevant post.
2. Register and enter the required personal, educational, examination and employment details.
3. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature, proof of birth, qualification certificates and applicable category certificates.
4. Upload the relevant SSC marksheets or scorecards, or the GATE scorecard for the Architecture position, together with required experience certificates.
5. Upload a No Objection Certificate if employed regularly in a Central or State Government organization or autonomous organization.
6. Pay the applicable application fee and submit the completed form by November 13, 2026.
7. Retain a printout of the submitted application for future reference.

Incomplete applications and applications missing required documents will be rejected.
