The Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is accepting online applications from meritorious sportspersons for 126 Constable General Duty vacancies under the Sports Quota. Applications opened on October 3, 2026, and must be submitted by November 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM.
The recruitment includes 72 male and 54 female vacancies across 28 sports disciplines. Applicants must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination and possess qualifying sports achievements recorded between January 1, 2024, and November 1, 2026.
The Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts are temporary but likely to become permanent. Selected candidates will receive Pay Level 3 remuneration of ₹21,700–69,100, along with admissible allowances, and may be required to serve anywhere in India or abroad.

Educational and Sports Eligibility
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Sports eligibility will be assessed against the competition levels prescribed in Paragraph 4(C) of the advertisement. Only qualifying participation or achievements during the specified sports achievement period will be considered.

Candidates must upload the certificate showing their highest medal, position or level of participation in the relevant discipline. Applications without the required sports certificate will be rejected during scrutiny.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The basic age requirement is 18–23 years as on November 1, 2026. Meritorious sportspersons are eligible for the following upper-age relaxations:

Salary and Service Conditions
Constables will be placed in Level 3 of the Seventh Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, carrying a basic pay scale of ₹21,700–69,100. Admissible allowances will be paid under ITBP rules.
Appointments will be governed by the ITBPF Act, 1992, and Rules, 1994. Selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India or abroad.

Selection Process
The recruitment stages comprise documentation, the Physical Standard Test, a Detailed Medical Examination by the nodal office and a Sports Trial Test. The sports trial is qualifying in nature.
Candidates must satisfy the prescribed standards and establish their eligibility through the required educational and sports certificates.
