Eligibility criteria and requirement
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized university. In addition, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR or possess a Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline as per the UGC regulations. Teaching and research experience in the relevant subject will be advantageous during the selection process.
Education
A Master’s degree in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university with at least 55% marks is required. Candidates must have qualified the UGC NET or possess a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D.) Regulations, 2009 or 2018.
Salary
The selected candidates will be placed at Academic Pay Level 10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a salary ranging from ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 per month. In addition, they will be entitled to allowances as per UGC and University of Delhi norms.
Age Limit
No upper age limit has been specified for the post of Assistant Professor, in line with UGC/DU guidelines.
