Yadgir District Court Opens Recruitment Applications for 23 Typist, Process Server and Peon Posts

The Office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Yadgir has announced direct recruitment for 23 Typist, Typist Copyist, Process Server and Peon vacancies in Karnataka. The posts are being filled under the Kalyana Karnataka Vrinda, or Local Cadre, provisions of Article 371-J.

Online applications for Yadgir District Court Recruitment 2026 will begin on August 31. Candidates can complete their applications through the district court recruitment portal until September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM. The recruitment includes nine Process Server, five Typist, five Peon and four Typist Copyist vacancies.

Selection differs by post. Typist and Typist Copyist applicants will undergo typing proficiency tests followed by an interview, while Process Server and Peon candidates will initially be shortlisted on the basis of SSLC marks before the interview stage.

Educational Qualification

Typist

Candidates must have passed second PUC, a three-year diploma or an equivalent examination.

They must also have passed the Senior Grade Typing Examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board in both Kannada and English, or possess the prescribed Diploma in Commerce/equivalent qualification.

Typist Copyist

Applicants should have passed second PUC, a three-year diploma or an equivalent examination.

They must also have passed the Junior Grade Typing Examination in both Kannada and English conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, or possess the prescribed Diploma in Commerce/equivalent qualification.

Process Server

Candidates should have passed SSLC or an equivalent examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board.

Preference will be given to applicants possessing a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence.

Peon

Applicants must have passed SSLC or an equivalent examination and should be able to read and write Kannada.

Application Fee

The application fee must be paid online and is non-refundable.

Payment must be completed online. Cheques, demand drafts and postal orders are not accepted.

Age Limit

Candidates must have attained 18 years of age as on September 30, 2026.

A one-time relaxation of five years is available to candidates under the Government Order dated January 29, 2026. Additional relaxation for Ex-servicemen, Persons with Disabilities, Government employees and other eligible categories will apply according to the prescribed rules.

Selection Process for Typist and Typist Copyist

Candidates applying for Typist and Typist Copyist posts will undergo typing proficiency tests in Kannada and English.

The typing test will be of 15 minutes duration in each language and carry 100 marks each. Candidates must obtain at least 50 marks to qualify.

Candidates progressing through the typing test will be considered for an interview carrying 10 marks.

Process Server and Peon Selection

Process Server applicants will initially be shortlisted according to their SSLC marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:25 ratio, with the interview carrying 10 marks.

For Peon vacancies, shortlisting will also be based on SSLC marks, but candidates will be called for interview in a 1:10 ratio. The interview carries 10 marks.

Selected candidates will undergo a two-year probation period under the Karnataka Civil Services (Probation) Rules, 1977.

Applicants claiming reservation under the Kalyana Karnataka region must submit the prescribed Article 371-J eligibility certificate.

Candidates seeking rural reservation should have studied from Class 1 through Class 10 entirely in a rural area and provide the prescribed Form-2 certificate. Caste, income and other reservation certificates must also comply with the formats and validity requirements specified in the notification.

Candidates already serving in Government employment will be required to submit a No Objection Certificate before final selection. Original documents must be produced during the interview/document verification process.

Only one application should be submitted for each post. If multiple applications are submitted for the same post, the last application will be considered.

2. Select the relevant recruitment notification for Typist, Typist Copyist, Process Server or Peon.
3. Complete the online application with accurate personal, educational and reservation details.
4. Upload a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature and required certificates in the prescribed format.
5. Candidates claiming Article 371-J, rural, caste, PwD or other reservations should upload the applicable certificates.
6. Pay the category-wise application fee online using the available net banking, credit card, debit card or UPI facility.
7. Preview the completed form carefully, as changes cannot be made after final submission.
8. Submit the application by September 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
9. Complete the fee payment no later than October 1, 2026.
10. Save the application number and take a printout of the submitted form for future use.

Applications submitted through post, email or in person will not be accepted.
