Special Requirement for Ladakh Law Posts

Candidates applying for the four Public Law Officer/District Litigation Officer/Law Officer positions under the UT of Ladakh must meet an additional domicile requirement.

Applicants for these positions must possess a valid domicile certificate issued by the Tehsildar in the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh. These posts also have a later application deadline of October 9, 2026.

Recruitment Test Centres

If UPSC conducts a Recruitment Test for the general posts, the listed centres include Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Ranchi and Visakhapatnam.

UPSC Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

UPSC may use a Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT) or written Recruitment Test to shortlist candidates where required. Candidates shortlisted under the prescribed procedure may subsequently be called for interview and verification of their eligibility documents.

For interviews carrying 100 marks, the stated minimum suitability marks are 50 for UR/EWS candidates, 45 for OBC candidates and 40 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
