The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has announced recruitment for 200 Scaler Group C posts under the Uttarakhand Forest Development Corporation. The recruitment is open to candidates who have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination with Science or Mathematics and meet the prescribed Uttarakhand eligibility conditions. Applicants must be between 18 and 28 years old as on July 1, 2026, subject to applicable relaxation. The Scaler post carries a pay scale of ₹19,900–₹63,200 under Pay Level 2.

Qualification and Uttarakhand Eligibility

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination or an equivalent qualification with Science or Mathematics from a recognized board in India or a school situated in Uttarakhand.

Preference is provided to candidates who have served for at least two years in the Territorial Army or hold an NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ certificate.

Applicants must also satisfy at least one of the specified Uttarakhand eligibility conditions: registration with an Uttarakhand employment exchange, possession of an Uttarakhand domicile/permanent residence certificate, or completion of both High School and Intermediate from recognized educational institutions in Uttarakhand.

Age Limit

The prescribed age limit for UKSSSC Scaler Recruitment 2026 is 18 to 28 years as on July 1, 2026.

Candidates should not have been born after July 1, 2008 or before July 2, 1998, subject to applicable category-based relaxation.

Physical Standards

Candidates must meet the prescribed physical measurements before participating in the Physical Efficiency Test.

The minimum height is relaxed to 152 cm for male and 145 cm for female candidates belonging to ST, Gorkha and specified hill communities.

Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Efficiency Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates must first clear the prescribed race before proceeding to the remaining events.

Three attempts are permitted for the field events, and candidates must qualify according to the prescribed standards.

UKSSSC Scaler Selection Process

Selection will be conducted in two main stages. Candidates will first undergo the Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test, which are qualifying in nature.

Those who qualify will be eligible for the written competitive examination. Final merit will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination.

The written test will be conducted offline using OMR sheets and will contain objective-type multiple-choice questions. The examination will carry 100 marks and have a duration of two hours.

In the event of equal written examination marks, the prescribed tie-breaking criteria will be applied, including age and alphabetical order.

UKSSSC Scaler Salary

Candidates appointed as Scaler will receive a pay scale of ₹19,900–₹63,200 under Pay Level 2.

The Scaler position is classified as a non-gazetted Group C post. The recruitment details describe the posts as temporary and covered under EPF.
