The RRC NCR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 application process opened on July 8, 2026 at 12:00 AM and will continue until August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Candidates who have passed Matriculation with the prescribed marks and hold an ITI qualification in the relevant trade can submit applications online through the RRC Prayagraj recruitment website.

There will be no written examination or viva for the apprentice selection. Merit will be determined by giving equal weightage to candidates’ Matriculation and ITI examination marks, followed by document verification and fulfillment of medical fitness requirements.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10 under the 10+2 examination system with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.

Applicants must also possess the relevant ITI qualification in the notified trade.

Both Matriculation and ITI marks are important because they will be used directly for preparation of the apprentice merit list.

Age Limit

Candidates must have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years as on July 7, 2026.

RRC NCR Apprentice Selection Process 2026

Selection will be made on merit, and applicants will not be required to appear for a written examination or viva.

The merit list will be prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation and the ITI examination. Equal weightage will be given to both qualifications.

For example, the selection calculation broadly gives:

• 50% weightage to Matriculation performance
• 50% weightage to ITI performance

Candidates shortlisted through the merit list will be called for verification of their original documents and certificates.

If two applicants secure equal merit, the candidate who is older in age will be placed higher. If their dates of birth are also identical, preference will be given to the candidate who passed the Matriculation examination earlier.

Final engagement will be subject to successful document verification and fulfillment of the prescribed medical fitness requirements.
