The recruitment is being conducted under Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 07/2026 for four Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) posts across Indian Railways.

RRB NTPC 12th Level Vacancy Details

Commercial cum Ticket Clerk has the largest share of the tentative recruitment with 700 vacancies, followed by 600 Junior Clerk cum Typist posts.

The vacancy count is tentative. RRB-wise and category-wise vacancies will be provided in the detailed CEN.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed the 12th (+2 stage) examination or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.

A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 12th is required under the stated eligibility conditions.

The 50% marks requirement does not apply to:

• SC candidates
• ST candidates
• PwBD candidates
• Ex-Servicemen
• Candidates possessing qualifications higher than 12th (+2 stage)

Candidates should possess the required educational qualification within the eligibility conditions prescribed under CEN No. 07/2026.

Age Limit

Applicants should be between 18 and 30 years of age as on January 1, 2027.

RRB NTPC Undergraduate Salary

The initial basic pay depends on the selected NTPC post.

Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

Commercial cum Ticket Clerk is placed at Level 3 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with an initial basic pay of ₹21,700 per month.

Level 2 Posts

Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist and Trains Clerk are placed at Level 2 with an initial basic pay of ₹19,900 per month.

Railway allowances and other admissible benefits will be provided according to applicable rules.

Application Fee

The fee must be paid online through the payment facility available on the RRB application portal. Any applicable fee-refund provisions will be governed by the detailed CEN.

Selection Process

RRB NTPC Undergraduate recruitment will primarily involve two stages of Computer Based Tests followed by post-specific and verification stages.

The recruitment process includes:

1. First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
2. Second Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
3. Typing/Skill Test for applicable posts
4. Document Verification
5. Medical Examination, as applicable to the selected post

Typing Requirement
