The Local Self Government Department, Government of Rajasthan has opened recruitment for 24,752 Contractual Safai Karmachari posts across 183 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. 01/2026, issued on July 27, 2026.

Online applications for Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026 began on August 15 and will remain open until 11:59 PM on September 28, 2026. Unlike many regular recruitment drives, no Class 10, Class 12 or degree qualification has been prescribed. Applicants must instead satisfy the Rajasthan domicile requirement and possess one year of sanitation work experience in an Urban Local Body.

The contractual posts carry remuneration of ₹7,410 per month. Candidates can select only one ULB while applying, and selection will be conducted through a software-based lottery system with the prescribed preference criteria.

Vacancy Details

A combined total of 24,752 Contractual Safai Karmachari vacancies have been announced across 183 Urban Local Bodies.

Eligibility Criteria

No formal educational qualification such as Class 10 or Class 12 has been prescribed for Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026.

Candidates must, however, satisfy the following employment-related conditions:

• Must be a resident of Rajasthan.
• Must possess one year of sanitation work experience in an Urban Local Body.
• Must meet the applicable age and documentary requirements.
• Can apply for only one of the 183 notified ULBs.

Age Limit

The prescribed age range is 21 to 40 years as of January 1, 2027.

Selection Process

Selection will not be based on a conventional written examination.

The notified process includes:

1. Software-based lottery conducted through a system developed by DoIT&C.

4. Medical Fitness.
5. Police Verification.

Under the priority mechanism, candidates possessing eligible experience from the same Urban Local Body for which they have applied will receive first preference, subject to the recruitment conditions.

Application Fee

Payment is to be made online through the Rajasthan SSO Portal or E-Mitra system.

Candidates who have already paid the applicable One Time Registration fee for earlier Rajasthan recruitment processes are not required to pay the OTR fee again.

How to Apply for Rajasthan Safai Karmachari Recruitment 2026

Applications must be submitted through the Rajasthan SSO recruitment system.

1. Ensure that your Jan Aadhaar details are current and correct.
2. Log in to the Rajasthan SSO Portal.
3. Open Citizen Apps (G2C) and select the Recruitment Portal.
4. Complete One Time Registration if it has not already been completed.
5. Locate Advertisement No. 01/2026 and select the option to apply.
6. Choose one Urban Local Body from the 183 notified bodies. Multiple ULB applications are not permitted.
7. Enter the required personal, domicile, experience and other details.
8. Capture the required live photograph through the application system and upload the prescribed signature and documents.
9. Pay the applicable registration/application fee if required.
10. Review the completed application before final submission.
11. Submit the form by September 28, 2026 and retain the generated Application ID and application copy.
