Punjab Police Recruitment 2026 for 3298 Constable Posts | Last Date: 30th March 2026
Punjab Police has released a recruitment notification inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Police Constable in the District Cadre and Armed Cadre. Through the Punjab Police Recruitment 2026 drive, the department aims to fill 3298 vacancies including 1084 posts reserved for women candidates. Applicants who have completed 10+2 education and have Punjabi as a subject in Matriculation are eligible to apply. The selection process will include a Computer Based Test followed by Physical Screening Test and Physical Measurement Test. Selected candidates will be posted across various districts of Punjab Police. Interested candidates can submit their online applications from 10 March 2026 to 30 March 2026.
Punjab Police has released an official notification for the recruitment of 1,746 Constables in the District Police and Armed Police Cadres. This recruitment drive is open to 12th pass candidates who meet the eligibility criteria, including physical standards. The vacancies are divided into 1,261 posts in the District Police Cadre and 485 posts in the Armed Police Cadre. Selected candidates will be placed under Level-2 pay scale with a salary of ₹19,900 per month. The selection process includes a written test (CBT), physical measurement test (PMT), physical screening test (PST), and document scrutiny. Physical Standards
For being eligible for the post of Constable in District Police Cadre and Armed Police Cadre, minimum height required for male candidates is 5 feet 7 inches and for female candidates is 5 feet 2 inches.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
Education Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 (12th standard) or its equivalent from a recognized education board/university.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 28 years as of 01 January 2025.
Physical Standards:
Male Candidates: Minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches.
Female Candidates: Minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
Salary
The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of ₹19,900 (Level-2 pay scale).

Age will be calculated as of 01 January 2025.
