Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced 660 tentative Artisan Grade IV vacancies across nine manufacturing units under Advertisement No. 01/2026. Online registration for the Artisan Recruitment 2027 exercise is scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, with the application deadline yet to be notified.

The recruitment covers Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic and Foundryman trades. Candidates must have passed Class 10 and hold both the relevant National Trade Certificate/ITI qualification and National Apprenticeship Certificate, meeting the prescribed marks requirements.

BHEL will publish detailed application and selection instructions on its careers portal by October 19. A Computer-Based Test is tentatively planned for December 2026, while the advertised Artisan Grade IV pay scale is ₹29,500–65,000 per month.

Trade-wise Vacancies

Fitter accounts for the largest share of openings, followed by Welder and Machinist.

Manufacturing Unit-wise Vacancies

Candidates may apply for vacancies in only one manufacturing unit. Knowledge of the relevant regional language is desirable for units in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Hindi is desirable for the remaining units.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess all three qualifications:

1. Class 10 pass.
2. National Trade Certificate (NTC/ITI) in the relevant trade.
3. National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade.

The minimum marks requirements apply separately to both NTC/ITI and NAC.

Age Limit

The upper age limit will be calculated as on October 1, 2026.

Additional age relaxation of up to seven years based on relevant work experience may be available, subject to the prescribed documentation and conditions.

Pay Scale

Selection Process
