National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited applications for 5 deputation-based vacancies covering legal and library functions. The recruitment includes 4 Manager (Legal) posts and 1 Senior Librarian & Information Officer position.

The NHAI Recruitment 2026 application process started on August 25 and candidates can apply until September 24, 2026. Applicants must complete the online registration process and also ensure that the signed hardcopy application is forwarded through the proper channel and reaches NHAI by the prescribed closing date.

Eligibility Criteria

Manager (Legal)

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university or institute.

A degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.

Applicants should also have at least three years of post-qualification experience in legal work connected with areas such as contractual matters, arbitration, legislative matters or land acquisition.

Senior Librarian & Information Officer

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Library Science from a recognized university or institute.

Applicants should have at least five years of relevant experience in a library functioning under the Central Government, State Government, autonomous or statutory organization, PSU, university or recognized research/educational institution.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit for both posts is 56 years as on the closing date.

Candidates must also have more than two years of service remaining as on September 24, 2026.

Salary

Both positions are placed in Pay Level-11.

Other deputation allowances and service conditions will be governed by the applicable NHAI and Government rules.

Selection Process

NHAI will first screen applications on the basis of objective criteria.

Shortlisted candidates may then be called for:

1. Written Test, and/or
2. Interview

Final selection will depend on the process prescribed by NHAI for the respective post.
