UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher Computer Mains Admit Card 2026 Released for 7,466-Post Recruitment

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has issued an important update for candidates taking part in the LT Grade Assistant Teacher recruitment process. The Computer subject Mains Admit Card is now available for download, with the examination scheduled for August 16, 2026. The UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher recruitment drive is being conducted for 7,466 Assistant Teacher posts in male, female and backlog categories. Candidates who successfully submitted the Computer Mains application between June 23 and July 7, 2026 can now obtain their admit cards through the commission’s online portal. The Computer Mains examination is scheduled for August 16, while the admit card was made available on August 11, 2026. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. A-5/E-1/2025.

UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher Mains Admit Card 2026

UPPSC is conducting the LT Grade Assistant Teacher selection process for teaching positions across a wide range of subjects. The recruitment originally opened for online applications on July 28, 2025, with August 28, 2025 set as the last date for application submission and fee payment. The preliminary/written examinations were subsequently held between December 6, 2025 and January 25, 2026.

The initial admit card was released on November 26, 2025, followed by the answer key on January 28, 2026. The result was announced on February 5, 2026. UPPSC has since been conducting subject-wise examinations and Mains stages according to separate schedules.

For Computer, the earlier examination was conducted on April 5, 2026, after the admit card was released on March 26. The Computer Mains application window later opened on June 23 and closed on July 7, 2026. Candidates who qualified and completed the required Mains application process can now appear for the Computer Mains examination on August 16, 2026.

UPPSC Assistant Teacher Mains Exam Schedule

The Mains application process for several subjects initially ran from April 2 to April 17, 2026. Commerce and Sanskrit Mains examinations were scheduled for April 23. Mathematics, Home Science, Agriculture/Horticulture and Science examinations were scheduled for May 16, 17 and 18, with admit cards issued on May 12.

Biology, Urdu and Art Mains examinations were scheduled for June 13, for which admit cards were released on June 6. Sociology, Physical Education, Music and Hindi examinations were scheduled for July 11, with their Mains admit cards released on July 7.

The latest update concerns the Computer subject. Its Mains examination is scheduled for August 16, 2026, and the Computer Mains Admit Card became available on August 11. Candidates should verify their individual examination date, centre, reporting time and other instructions from the admit card itself.

UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher Vacancy Details

A total of 7,466 vacancies are included in the LT Grade Assistant Teacher recruitment. Of these, 4,860 positions are listed under the male category and 2,525 under the female category, while another 81 posts are backlog vacancies.

The recruitment covers Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer, Urdu, Biology, Sanskrit, Arts, Music, Commerce, Physical Education, Home Science and Agriculture/Horticulture subjects. Educational requirements vary according to the subject selected by the candidate.

Educational Qualification

For Hindi Assistant Teacher posts, candidates should hold a graduation degree with Hindi as a subject and should have studied Sanskrit at the Intermediate level or passed the Uttar Madhyama examination of the UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad. An NCTE-recognised B.Ed. qualification is also required.

Candidates applying for English should have studied English Literature at graduation level along with an NCTE-recognised B.Ed. Mathematics applicants need Mathematics as a graduation subject and the prescribed B.Ed., while Science applicants should have studied Physics and Chemistry at graduation level along with B.Ed.

For Social Science, candidates are required to have studied at least two subjects among History, Geography, Political Science and Economics at graduation level, in addition to holding the prescribed B.Ed. qualification.

Computer applicants may possess a B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, a graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications, or a graduation degree with an ‘A’ Level qualification from NIELIT, as applicable under the notification. B.Ed. recognised by NCTE is listed as a preferential qualification for the Computer discipline.

For Urdu, Biology and Sanskrit, candidates generally require graduation with the respective prescribed subject along with B.Ed. Biology candidates are required to have studied Zoology and Botany.

Arts applicants may have graduation with Art and B.Ed., or a Bachelor of Fine Arts qualification under the prescribed conditions. For candidates with BFA, B.Ed. is treated as a preferential qualification as specified.

Music candidates should have Music as a graduation subject or possess qualifications such as Sangeet Visharad from Bhatkhande Sangeet Mahavidyalaya or Sangeet Prabhakar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, together with the required graduation qualification. An NCTE-recognised B.Ed. is also required.

Commerce candidates need a graduation degree in Commerce along with B.Ed. Physical Education applicants should be graduates with B.P.Ed. or B.P.E. from an NCTE-approved course. Home Science candidates need graduation with Home Science and B.Ed., while the male Agriculture/Horticulture posts require graduation in Agriculture or Horticulture along with the prescribed B.Ed. qualification.

Age Limit

The age criteria for UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2025 are calculated as of July 1, 2025. Applicants should have attained a minimum age of 21 years and should ordinarily not be more than 40 years old.

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to eligible reserved and other categories according to UPPSC and Uttar Pradesh government recruitment rules. Candidates should refer to the official recruitment notification to determine the relaxation applicable to their category.

Application Fee

The application fee was ₹125 for General, EWS and OBC candidates. SC and ST candidates were required to pay ₹65, while the fee for ex-servicemen was also ₹65. Candidates belonging to the PH category were required to pay ₹25.

The prescribed fee could be paid through available online payment facilities including debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS and supported cash card or mobile wallet services.

Selection Process

Selection for the UPPSC LT Grade Assistant Teacher recruitment involves a written examination followed by the applicable further stages. Candidates qualifying at the required stages are called for document verification, where their educational, category and other eligibility documents are checked.

Candidates appearing in the Computer Mains examination should carefully follow the instructions printed on their admit cards and carry all documents required by UPPSC to the examination centre.
