Sports Eligibility and Order of Preference
Applicants must be meritorious sportspersons in the sports or games covered by the recruitment. Eligible candidates will be considered according to the prescribed Department of Personnel and Training order of preference.
The preference begins with candidates who have represented India in international competitions with the required Department of Sports clearance. The subsequent order covers:

- Candidates who represented State/UT, University or State School teams at the specified eligible levels but did not secure a medal or position, considered in the prescribed order.
