North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, has announced 58 Senior Resident Doctor vacancies across a wide range of clinical, surgical and diagnostic specialties. The recruitment is being processed under the second cut-off date of the institute’s rolling advertisement, with applications accepted through email until September 7, 2026.

The available posts include vacancies in Anaesthesiology, General Medicine, General Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, Surgical Oncology and several other departments. Applicants must possess the prescribed MD, MS or DNB qualification in the relevant specialty and hold valid registration with a State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission.

The maximum age for applicants is 45 years, subject to applicable category-wise relaxation. Selected candidates will receive basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month along with admissible Non-Practicing Allowance.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a postgraduate medical qualification such as MD, MS or DNB in the relevant specialty or subject.

Applicants should also have completed the compulsory rotating internship after obtaining their MBBS qualification.

The medical qualification should fall within the applicable schedules prescribed under the medical education regulations, and candidates must hold valid registration with a State Medical Council or the National Medical Commission.
