National Test House Recruitment 2026 Notice Out For 36 Young Professional Vacancies, Apply by September 26

• National Test House is recruiting 36 Senior and Junior Young Professionals across technical and management disciplines at nine locations.

National Test House (NTH), under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, is accepting applications for 36 Senior Young Professional and Junior Young Professional positions on a contractual basis. The recruitment covers engineering, laboratory testing, management, IT, aerospace, drone and other technical functions across NTH offices in different parts of India.

Applications are being accepted through e-mail following publication of the advertisement in Employment News dated September 12, 2026. Candidates have until September 26 to submit the prescribed resume, supporting qualification and experience documents, and latest CV to the e-mail address assigned to the location for which they are applying.

The Young Professional engagements will initially be for one year and can be extended, subject to satisfactory performance, for a maximum tenure of four years. Senior Young Professionals will receive ₹70,000 per month, while Junior Young Professionals will receive ₹40,000 per month on a consolidated basis.

NTH Young Professional Qualification and Experience

Senior Young Professional (Technical-RPPT) requires BE/B.Tech in Textile, Footwear, Rubber or Polymer Technology, or M.Sc. in Chemistry, along with at least three years of experience in a footwear, textile, rubber, paper or plastic testing laboratory.

For Senior Young Professional (Management), candidates need a PG Diploma or MBA from a recognized university or institution and at least three years of work experience, preferably in a government organization. Proficiency in English, technical aptitude and familiarity with web-based tools are desirable.

Senior Young Professional (Technical-Microbiology) requires M.Sc. in Microbiology or B.Tech in Microbiology with at least three years of relevant laboratory experience. The Electrical post requires BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with three years of experience in an electrical testing laboratory.

For Senior Young Professional (Technical-Civil), applicants need BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and at least three years of experience in testing building materials, soil, Glass/Gypsum/Calcium Silicate boards, DBM, BM or SDBM.

Junior Young Professional (Technical-Chemical) requires M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with at least one year of relevant laboratory experience. Mechanical positions require BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with one year of relevant laboratory experience.

For Junior Young Professional (Technical-Civil), candidates need BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least one year of relevant experience in the prescribed material-testing areas. Electrical vacancies require BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering and one year of relevant laboratory experience.

Junior Young Professional (Technical-Microbiology) requires M.Sc. in Microbiology or B.Tech in Microbiology with one year of relevant laboratory experience.

For Junior Young Professional (Technical-RPPT), candidates need BE/B.Tech in Textile, Footwear, Rubber or Polymer Technology, or M.Sc. in Chemistry, along with at least one year of experience in footwear, rubber, paper, textile or plastic testing.

The IT positions require B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or MCA with at least one year of relevant experience. Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is desirable.

Junior Young Professional (Technical-Aerospace) requires BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science, with at least one year of experience in R&D, industrial testing or scientific activities involving mechanical testing or material characterization. Familiarity with ASTM/ISO standards for aerospace material testing is desirable.

For Junior Young Professional (Technical-Drone), candidates need BE/B.Tech in Aeronautical, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, IT or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, with at least one year of full-time post-qualification experience in drone certification activities under the QCI Certification Scheme for UAS.

Age Limit

As on the closing date for applications, candidates for Junior Young Professional posts must not exceed 35 years of age. The maximum age for Senior Young Professional posts is 38 years.

Monthly Remuneration and Contract Period

The monthly remuneration will be enhanced by ₹5,000 for every year that the engagement is extended. Initial appointment will be for one year and may be extended on satisfactory performance for a total period of up to four years.

The engagement is purely contractual. Either side may ordinarily terminate it by providing one month’s notice, while NTH may terminate the contract without prior notice in cases involving breach of the prescribed terms.

Selection Process

Applications will first be scrutinized against the required qualifications and experience. NTH will then shortlist candidates according to its requirements, and only shortlisted applicants will be invited for interview.

No TA or DA will be provided for attending the selection process, joining the assignment or upon completion of the engagement.
