The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee has released the NIH Recruitment 2026 notification for 1 Project Scientist-I post on a contractual basis. The recruitment is for a sponsored research project related to salinity ingress in the coastal areas of Gujarat. Candidates holding a Ph.D. in relevant disciplines such as Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Water Resources, Remote Sensing & GIS, Civil Engineering, or Geophysics are eligible to attend the walk-in interview. The selected candidate will receive a monthly emolument of ₹56,000 plus HRA. Interested candidates can attend the walk-in interview on 14 August 2026.

Salary

• ₹56,000 per month + HRA
• 5% increment after every two years of experience, subject to satisfactory performance.

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 Years
• Age relaxation of 5 years is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped candidates.
