Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in Meghalaya Home Guards Recruitment 2026 must already be trained Home Guards Volunteers and possess the required Basic Training Certificate.

No separate minimum educational qualification has been specified. Candidates should, however, submit educational qualification certificates if applicable.

Applicants must also be Indian citizens and domiciled in the State of Meghalaya.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 50 years as on September 1, 2026.

Candidates must provide an appropriate birth or age certificate as documentary proof while applying.

Nature of Engagement and Remuneration

Selected volunteers will be deployed under the “Highly Skilled Category” wages at rates prescribed by the Department of Labour, Employment & Skill Development, Government of Meghalaya. Risk Allowance will also be applicable.
