MAHA Metro Recruitment 2026 Notice Out: 61 Engineer, Technician, Assistant and Manager Vacancies, Apply by September 18/25

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA-Metro) is recruiting for a combined 61 vacancies under two separate recruitment notices covering managerial, engineering, technical, administrative and support positions. The openings are linked to MAHA-Metro projects in Nagpur, Pune and Thane, with separate deadlines of September 18 and September 25, 2026.

The larger recruitment drive covers 56 Junior Engineer, Technician, Office Assistant, Senior Office Assistant, Multi Tasking Staff cum Motor Driver and Attendant positions on a three-year contract. These posts are intended for experienced candidates who are residents of Maharashtra and possess a valid state domicile certificate. Applications for these vacancies must reach MAHA-Metro by September 25.

A separate recruitment drive is being conducted for five regular Finance positions, including Deputy General Manager, Manager and Assistant Manager levels. These vacancies require CA or ICWA qualifications along with prescribed Finance and Accounts experience and carry pay scales of up to Rs. 70,000–2,00,000. The deadline for this recruitment is September 18, 2026.

MAHA Metro Recruitment 2026 Notification

MAHA-Metro is a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Maharashtra. The two current recruitment exercises together offer 61 positions, but candidates should note that the employment terms, qualifications, selection procedures and closing dates are different.

MAHA Metro Vacancy 2026: 61 Posts

The combined recruitment consists of 56 contractual positions and five regular Finance vacancies.

Engineer, Technician, Assistant and Attendant Vacancies

These 56 positions are offered on a three-year contract for the Nagpur and Pune Metro Rail Projects.

Finance Manager Level Vacancies

The five Finance positions are regular appointments.

Eligibility for Junior Engineer and Other 56 Contract Posts

Eligibility varies considerably between engineering, technical, administrative and support positions. Relevant professional experience is required for all these posts.

The prescribed experience requirements also include applicable pay-scale or CTC conditions, which candidates should verify against the detailed notification before applying.

Maharashtra Domicile Requirement

The 56-post contractual recruitment is specifically for experienced Indian nationals who are residents of Maharashtra. Applicants must possess a valid Maharashtra domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.

Candidates should therefore not treat the domicile condition as optional when applying for these vacancies.

Eligibility for MAHA Metro Finance Manager Posts

The five Finance vacancies require professional CA or ICWA qualifications along with post-wise executive or supervisory experience.

Deputy General Manager (Finance) – E3

Candidates must possess CA/ICWA and have at least seven years of executive experience in Finance and Accounts. The experience should meet the prescribed IDA E3/E2, equivalent CDA Level 11 or relevant CTC requirement of Rs. 1.50 lakh per month.

Knowledge of SAP/ERP is preferred. The maximum age is 45 years.

Manager (Finance) – E2

Applicants require CA/ICWA with at least four years of executive experience in Finance and Accounts. The experience should satisfy the prescribed IDA E2/E1, equivalent CDA Level 10 or CTC requirement of Rs. 1.30 lakh per month.

The maximum age is 40 years, and SAP/ERP knowledge is preferred.

Assistant Manager (Finance) – E1

Candidates need CA/ICWA with at least two years of post-qualification or supervisory experience in Finance and Accounts. The experience must meet the relevant IDA S4/S3, equivalent CDA Level 7/8 or CTC requirement of Rs. 80,000 per month.

The maximum age for Assistant Manager is 35 years. SAP/ERP knowledge is preferred.

MAHA Metro Salary and Pay Scale

The pay scales differ substantially because the combined vacancies range from support-level contractual posts to regular managerial Finance positions.

The 56 contractual vacancies carry post-specific IDA pay scales ranging from Rs. 14,000–40,000 to Rs. 33,000–1,00,000.

Candidates should check the detailed notification for the exact pay scale applicable to the post and grade for which they intend to apply.

Selection Process

MAHA-Metro will use different selection methods for the two recruitment drives.

For the 56 contractual Engineer, Technician, Assistant and Attendant positions, selection comprises:

For the five regular Finance positions, the selection stages are:

1. Personal Interview
2. Document Verification
3. Medical Examination

Candidates should follow the selection conditions stated for their particular post rather than assuming that the same examination procedure applies to all 61 vacancies.

Important Dates

The two advertisements have separate closing dates, and candidates should ensure their application reaches MAHA-Metro by the deadline applicable to their post.

Both are offline applications submitted through Speed Post. The deadline therefore refers to receipt of the application rather than merely dispatching it by the closing date.

7. Candidates applying for the 56 contractual vacancies must also attach the required Maharashtra domicile certificate.
