KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Released: 134 Graduate and Diploma Vacancies, Document Verification From August 24

• Konkan Railway is conducting a Special Drive for 134 Graduate, Diploma and General Stream Apprentice vacancies through NATS.

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has announced a Special Drive for engagement of 134 Apprentice Trainees under Notification No. CO/APPR/2026/01. The vacancies cover Engineering Graduates, Diploma holders and General Stream Graduates who passed their qualifying examination during 2021 to 2025.

Unlike a conventional online recruitment process, candidates are not required to submit a separate KRCL online application form. Eligible candidates must have a valid approved National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) ID and attend Document Verification according to the stream-wise schedule at Navi Mumbai. The verification process begins on August 24 and concludes on August 28, 2026.

KRCL will prepare the selection merit based on aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Preference will first be given to land loser candidates of the Konkan Railway Project, followed by candidates belonging to districts within KRCL’s jurisdiction.

KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification

The KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 through the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme. The Special Drive covers apprenticeships in Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering along with opportunities for General Stream Graduates.

Candidates should note that NATS registration is mandatory and they must report personally for Document Verification on the date assigned to their respective qualification or stream.

Recruitment Overview

KRCL Apprentice Vacancy 2026

Of the 134 apprenticeship positions, 85 are for UR candidates, 21 for OBC, 11 for SC, six for ST and 11 for EWS candidates.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must possess the qualification applicable to the apprenticeship stream for which they are being considered.

Engineering candidates should have a BE/B.Tech in Civil, Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, while Technician Apprentice candidates need the corresponding Diploma qualification.

For General Stream Apprentice positions, graduates in streams such as BA, B.Sc, B.Com and BBA are eligible.

The required degree or diploma must be from a recognised university, institution or board, and candidates must have passed their qualifying examination in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 or 2025.

NATS Registration

Candidates must be registered with the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme and possess a valid approved NATS ID at the time of Document Verification.

Age Limit

The prescribed age range is 18 to 25 years as on January 1, 2026.

Candidates should have been born between January 1, 2001 and January 1, 2008.

Medical Standards

The prescribed medical standard varies according to the apprenticeship category.

KRCL Apprentice Stipend 2026

Graduate and Diploma Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during their apprenticeship, with the payment being shared equally between the Government of India and KRCL.

The stipend will be paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Selection Process and Merit List

There is no written examination or interview specified for the KRCL Apprentice Special Drive. Selection will be based on the aggregate percentage of marks secured in the applicable qualifying examination, followed by verification of documents.

KRCL will apply a preference system while preparing the selection.

First preference will be given to land loser candidates of the Konkan Railway Project.

Second preference will be given to eligible candidates belonging to districts falling within KRCL’s jurisdiction. These include Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg in Maharashtra; North Goa and South Goa; and Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka.

Where two candidates have the same qualifying marks, the older candidate will receive preference. If their ages are also the same, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be placed higher.

KRCL Apprentice Document Verification Schedule

Document Verification will take place over four days according to the candidate’s qualification and engineering stream.

Candidates reporting after 12:00 PM will not be entertained.

How to Participate in KRCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Candidates should note that there is no separate KRCL online application form for this Special Drive. Participation requires NATS registration followed by attendance at the scheduled Document Verification.

1. Register on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal and obtain a valid approved NATS ID.

7. Candidates claiming reservation should bring the applicable caste/category certificates, while those seeking land loser preference must carry the relevant supporting documents.
8. Complete Document Verification at the venue as instructed by KRCL.

Candidates should ensure that they arrive within the prescribed reporting window, as those reaching the venue after 12:00 PM will not be considered for verification.
