Educational Qualification

Applicants for Kerala Green Marshal vacancies must have passed SSLC (10th standard) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Candidates are also expected to be physically fit for duties at tourist destinations. Documentary or medical fitness requirements, where applicable, will be checked as part of the recruitment process.

Age Limit

The prescribed age limit is 20 to 45 years as on September 1, 2026.

Age relaxation for eligible reserved categories will be governed by applicable government rules and will require supporting documents.

Green Marshal Salary

Selected Green Marshals will receive a daily wage of ₹810. The engagement is temporary and is initially for a period of one year.

Selection Process

Selection will be conducted district-wise. Candidates will first be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks secured in SSLC.

Shortlisted applicants will subsequently be called for an interview/proficiency assessment conducted by the Directorate of Tourism. Original documents will be checked before final selection.

Where candidates have the same SSLC percentage, local residents will receive preference subject to verification of residence proof. If the tie continues, the older candidate based on date of birth will be ranked higher.
