Karnataka State Police Recruitment 2026 for 1600 Armed Police Constable Posts | Last Date: 24th July 2026

Karnataka State Police (KSP) has released the KSP Armed Police Constable Recruitment 2026 notification for 1,600 vacancies in the Civil Armed Reserve (CAR) and District Armed Reserve (DAR) units. The recruitment includes 179 posts for the Kalyana Karnataka region and 1,421 posts for the Residual Cadre. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed PUC, 12th Standard, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board or institution.
• Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants must possess proof of qualification on or before the last date of application.
• Candidates must fulfill Kannada language requirements as prescribed in the notification.

Educational Requirement

Eligible qualifications include:

• Karnataka PUC or equivalent 12th Standard qualification.
• CBSE or ISC Class 12.
• Other State Board Class 12 qualification.
• NIOS Senior Secondary Course or Higher Secondary Course.
• Two-year ITI course with one language subject and one academic subject.

Kannada Language Requirement

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following conditions:

• Studied Kannada as the first or second language in SSLC or equivalent.
• Studied in Kannada medium.
• Passed Kannada as a subject at a higher level.

Candidates not meeting these conditions must appear for the Kannada language test and secure a minimum of 50 marks out of 150.

• Salary and allowances will be provided as per Karnataka State Government rules applicable to Armed Police Constables.

• General Merit (Male): 33 years
• SC/ST/Category 1/2A/2B/3A Candidates (Male): 35 years
• Tribal Candidates (Forest Areas): 38 years

• SC/ST/Category 1/2A/2B/3A: 5 years
• Tribal Candidates: 10 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus the period of military service rendered
