JKSSB PWD Recruitment 2026 Last Date Extended: Apply Online for 357 Draftsman and Works Supervisor Vacancies by September 24

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has extended the online application deadline for its Public Works (R&B) Department Recruitment 2026 covering 357 Divisional Cadre vacancies. Candidates can now submit applications for Draftsman (Civil) and Works Supervisor posts until September 24, 2026 under Advertisement Notification No. 06 of 2026.

The recruitment was originally notified on July 6, 2026, with online applications opening on August 1. Of the 357 vacancies, 97 are for Draftsman (Civil) and 260 are for Works Supervisor across the Jammu and Kashmir divisions. Draftsman applicants need the prescribed two-year training certificate/diploma, while Works Supervisor candidates require 10th pass along with ITI in Building Construction or Carpentry trade.

JKSSB Advertisement No. 06/2026 covers direct recruitment to Divisional Cadre posts in the Public Works (R&B) Department of Jammu & Kashmir.

JKSSB PWD Vacancy 2026

Works Supervisor accounts for 260 of the 357 vacancies, while 97 positions are available for Draftsman (Civil). The vacancies are further divided between the Jammu and Kashmir divisions.

The Jammu division has 242 vacancies in total, compared with 115 vacancies in the Kashmir division.

Educational Qualification

Eligibility is different for Draftsman (Civil) and Works Supervisor posts.

Draftsman (Civil)

Candidates must possess a two-year Draftsman Training Course Certificate/Diploma as prescribed for the post.

A total of 97 Draftsman vacancies are available, comprising 48 in the Jammu division and 49 in the Kashmir division.

Works Supervisor

Candidates must have passed Class 10 and possess an ITI certificate in Building Construction or Carpentry trade.

There are 260 Works Supervisor vacancies, including 194 in Jammu and 66 in Kashmir.

Age Limit

The stated age range for JKSSB PWD Recruitment 2026 is 18 to 40 years as on January 1, 2026.

The application fee is Rs. 600 for General candidates and Rs. 500 for candidates belonging to the specified reserved categories.

JKSSB PWD Selection Process 2026

Selection for the Draftsman and Works Supervisor vacancies will primarily be determined by performance in the Written/OMR Examination.

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in the Written/OMR Examination only. Candidates progressing through the recruitment process will subsequently undergo document verification and other prescribed formalities.
