IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notice Out: Apply Online for 21 Graduate and Technician Posts by September 9

• IIIT Bhagalpur has announced 21 Graduate and Technician Apprentice vacancies across nine departments.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhagalpur has invited online applications for 21 Graduate and Technician Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The one-year apprenticeship programme covers engineering, computing, library, finance, administration and purchase-related departments at the institute’s Bhagalpur campus.

The IIIT Bhagalpur Apprentice Recruitment 2026 application process started on August 21 and will remain open until September 9, 2026. Applications are being accepted only through the NATS 2.0 portal, and no other mode of submission will be considered.

Selection will be prepared purely on the basis of marks obtained in the relevant qualifying degree or diploma. Shortlisted candidates will subsequently be called to IIIT Bhagalpur for verification of original documents.

Department-wise Vacancy Details

The 21 apprenticeship slots are spread across nine departments and administrative units. Engineering departments include Computer Science, Electronics & Communication and Mechatronics & Automation, while non-engineering vacancies are available in Library, Finance, Administration and other functions.

Reservation will apply according to Government of India norms.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must hold the prescribed degree or diploma for the department in which they seek apprenticeship.

Engineering and technical vacancies accept relevant B.E., B.Tech., bachelor’s degree or diploma qualifications, while the Library, Finance, Computer Centre, Administration and Store & Purchase positions require qualifications such as BLIS, B.Com, BCA, BA or BBA.

Candidates should ensure that the discipline of their degree or diploma matches the relevant department before applying through NATS.

Two-Year Passing Requirement

A specific eligibility condition applies to the date on which the qualifying degree or diploma was completed.

The gap between the date of passing the qualifying examination and the application closing date of September 9, 2026 must not exceed two years.

Candidates whose qualifying degree or diploma falls outside this permitted period should check the detailed notification before submitting an application.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years of age as on September 9, 2026.

Relaxation in the upper age limit will apply to eligible SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates according to Government of India rules.

Apprentice Stipend

The monthly stipend differs according to whether the candidate is engaged as a Graduate Apprentice or Technician Apprentice.

The apprenticeship will continue for 12 months.

Selection Process

There is no written examination or interview specified for the initial selection.

The process consists of:

1. Preparation of merit based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree or diploma
2. Shortlisting of candidates
3. Verification of original documents at IIIT Bhagalpur

If two or more candidates obtain the same percentage of marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age.

Apprenticeship Duration and Conditions

The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. The engagement will automatically end on completion of the prescribed period.

Candidates selected as apprentices will not acquire any right to claim regular employment at IIIT Bhagalpur after completing the training. The institute is not obligated to provide employment on completion of the apprenticeship.

No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for document verification or other recruitment-related requirements.

Bank Account Requirement

Selected candidates should have an active bank account that is Aadhaar-seeded and enabled for Direct Benefit Transfer.

Applicants should ensure their bank details are accurate while completing the NATS profile and application process.

7. Upload the prescribed qualification and category certificates, where applicable.
8. Verify that your Aadhaar-seeded, DBT-enabled bank account information is correct.
9. Review the application carefully before final submission.
10. Submit the application through NATS 2.0 by September 9, 2026.
