HMT Limited, a Government of India Undertaking, has invited applications for seven Young Professional and Consultant positions at its Corporate Head Office in Bengaluru. The HMT Recruitment 2026 is being conducted under Advertisement No. HMT CHR/YP Engagement/2026 for professionals in Finance, Legal, Official Language and Company Secretary functions.

The recruitment includes two Consultant posts and five Young Professional positions. Candidates with LL.B., CA/CMA/ICWA, relevant Master’s qualifications or Company Secretary credentials can apply, depending on the post. Relevant professional experience ranging from one to 15 years is also required.

Appointments are purely contractual and do not constitute recruitment against permanent HMT vacancies. Monthly consolidated remuneration is ₹80,000 for Consultants, ₹60,000 for Young Professional-II (Finance) and ₹45,000 for Young Professional-I positions. HMT Recruitment Salary

HMT has specified fixed consolidated monthly remuneration according to the level of engagement.

The remuneration applies to the contractual engagement and should not be treated as a regular HMT pay scale.

Post-wise Qualification and Experience

Consultant – Legal

Candidates should possess an LL.B. from a recognized university or institute. An LL.M. qualification is desirable.

Applicants need between nine and 15 years of relevant legal experience.

Maximum age: 45 years.

Consultant – Finance

Applicants must possess CA, CMA or ICWA qualification along with nine to 15 years of relevant professional experience in Finance.

Maximum age: 45 years.

Young Professional-II – Finance

Candidates need CA, CMA or ICWA qualification with four to eight years of relevant Finance experience.

Maximum age: 35 years.

Young Professional-I – Finance

CA, CMA or ICWA qualification is required along with one to three years of relevant experience.

Maximum age: 30 years.

Young Professional-I – Official Language

Applicants should have a Master’s Degree in Hindi with English studied at Graduation level, or a Master’s Degree in English with Hindi studied at Graduation level.

Candidates also need one to three years of relevant experience.

Maximum age: 30 years.

Young Professional-I – Company Secretary

Candidates should be Graduates with ACS/qualified Company Secretary credentials and membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).

One to three years of relevant experience is required.

Maximum age: 30 years.

Age Limit

The age limit will be determined as on September 1, 2026.

HMT management may relax the prescribed age and experience requirements for exceptionally deserving candidates as provided under the recruitment conditions.

Contract Tenure and Posting

Young Professionals will initially be engaged for two years. Their tenure can be extended annually for a maximum of two additional years based on satisfactory performance and HMT’s requirements.

The engagement is purely contractual, and selected candidates will have no claim to permanent employment in HMT Limited.

Although the recruitment is being handled by the Corporate Head Office in Bengaluru, management may post selected professionals to other HMT units or subsidiary companies according to organizational requirements.

Selection Process

HMT will initially scrutinize the applications to identify candidates who satisfy the prescribed qualification and experience requirements.

Shortlisted candidates will then be called for an interview, which may be conducted either in person or through video conferencing.

The recruitment process includes:

1. Scrutiny and shortlisting of applications
2. Interview by the designated committee
3. Verification of original documents
4. Submission of medical fitness certificate

Only shortlisted applicants will receive interview communication.

Outstation candidates attending an interview physically are eligible for reimbursement of to-and-fro Second Class train fare by the shortest route, subject to production of the required journey proof.
