High Explosives Factory (HEF), Khadki, a unit of Munitions India Limited, has announced recruitment for 85 Tenure Based Chemical Process Worker (CPW) positions. The contractual engagement is initially for one year and can be extended for up to four years, subject to prescribed conditions and performance.

Applications are being invited from candidates holding a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT in Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP) or one of the specified feeder trades. The closing date for receipt of applications is September 18, 2026. Selected candidates will receive basic pay of ₹19,900 per month along with Dearness Allowance and other applicable benefits.

Educational Qualification

Previous work experience is not mandatory for candidates possessing the required NAC qualification. Preference will, however, be governed by the priority criteria prescribed in the recruitment notice.

Candidates from feeder trades other than AOCP will be required to undergo three months of training, comprising one month of in-house training and two months of on-the-job training. Such candidates must also submit the prescribed consent undertaking.

Age Limit

The maximum age for the HEF Khadki Chemical Process Worker recruitment is 40 years as on September 18, 2026.

Accordingly, eligible SC/ST candidates may receive relaxation up to 45 years and OBC-NCL candidates up to 43 years, subject to fulfilment of the applicable conditions.

HEF Khadki CPW Salary

Selected Chemical Process Workers will receive basic pay of ₹19,900 per month along with Dearness Allowance at the applicable Central Government rate.

The engagement is tenure-based rather than a permanent appointment.

Selection Process

Selection will begin with shortlisting based on marks obtained in the NCVT National Apprenticeship Certificate examination.

The final selection process carries the following weightage:

Candidates shortlisted on merit will be called for the Trade/Practical Test. Document verification will subsequently be conducted in merit order according to the number of available vacancies.

Preference will be given in the prescribed sequence, beginning with AOCP ex-apprentices of Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited, followed by other eligible AOCP candidates and subsequently candidates from the specified categories/trades in accordance with the notification.

Contract Tenure

The appointment will initially be made for a period of one year.

The contractual tenure can be extended for further periods based on performance and organizational requirements, subject to an overall maximum engagement of four years.

The tenure-based appointment does not automatically confer any right to permanent employment.
