Haryana Police SPO Recruitment 2026: 400 Special Police Officer Vacancies, District-Wise Schedule Released

The Telecommunication Wing of Haryana Police has announced engagement of 400 Special Police Officers (SPOs) under Section 21 of the Haryana Police Act, 2007. The recruitment is primarily open to eligible ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and ex-Constables of the disbanded Haryana State Industrial Security Force (HSISF)/Haryana Armed Police (HAP) Battalions.

Unlike a conventional Haryana Police recruitment drive, there is no online application process or written examination. Candidates must submit their application and supporting documents in person at Police Lines Telecommunication, Panchkula, on the date assigned to their district. The district-wise process will be conducted from August 24 to August 27, 2026.

Selected SPOs will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹20,000 along with specified allowances and benefits. The engagement is initially for one year and may continue until regular appointments are made. Preference will be given to candidates with experience handling telecommunication equipment, particularly personnel who have served in the Signal Corps.

Haryana Police SPO Vacancy and Eligibility

A total of 400 Special Police Officer positions have been announced.

Possessing the academic qualification alone is not sufficient. Candidates must also fall within one of the eligible former-service categories and satisfy the prescribed service conditions.

Applicants must be:

  • Ex-servicemen of the Armed Forces/CAPFs; or
  • Ex-Constables of the disbanded HSISF/HAP Battalions.

Candidates from the Armed Forces/CAPFs should have completed at least five years of service.

Applicants should not have been removed or dismissed from previous service on grounds of indiscipline, misconduct or medical unfitness. Their medical category at the time of discharge should have been ‘A’, while the character certificate at discharge should be ‘Exemplary/Outstanding’.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling telecommunication equipment, particularly those who served in the Signal Corps.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 25 and 50 years of age. Age will be determined as of the date of advertisement.

Applicable relaxation, where permitted, will be governed by the prescribed rules.

Haryana Police SPO Salary and Benefits

Selected Special Police Officers will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹20,000, which will be credited directly to their bank accounts.

The ₹3,000 uniform allowance is intended for two sets of uniform and related items such as shoes, insignia and cap/lanyard.

SPOs will not ordinarily be posted at their home police station. Preference may, however, be given for posting within the home district depending on vacancy availability. They may also be deployed elsewhere in Haryana for short periods during emergent situations.

Haryana Police SPO Selection Process 2026

No written examination or physical test will be conducted according to the supplied recruitment information.

The selection process consists of:

  4. 15-Day Capsule Training Course after selection

Candidates must first appear with their application and original documents according to the district-wise schedule. Those meeting the prescribed eligibility requirements will proceed through the subsequent verification and medical requirements.

Selected candidates will undergo a 15-day capsule training course before deployment.
