Gujarat Vidyapith (GV), a deemed-to-be university established by Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, has released Recruitment Advertisement No. 05/2026-27 for 13 vacancies across various teaching and non-teaching positions. The recruitment includes Subject Matter Specialist, Programme Assistant, Stenographer Grade-III, Driver, and Skilled Support Staff posts. Candidates with qualifications ranging from Matriculation and 12th Pass to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are eligible to apply, depending on the post. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualifications for the respective posts.

Educational Requirement

• Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Extension Education):
  • Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Programme Assistant (Computer):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, or equivalent qualification.
• Stenographer Grade-III:
  • 12th Pass or equivalent.
  • Professional proficiency in dictation and transcription.
• Driver:
  • Matriculation Pass.
  • Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licence.
  • ITI qualification or relevant experience is desirable.
• Skilled Support Staff:
  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification, or ITI certificate.

Salary

• Additional allowances and benefits will be provided as per 7th Central Pay Commission rules.

Age Limit

• Age limits vary according to the post.
• Age relaxation for PwBD candidates:
  • SC/ST: 15 years
  • OBC: 13 years
  • Unreserved: 10 years
• Other category-wise relaxations will be applicable as per Government rules.
