Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has opened online applications for 2,510 Helper vacancies, providing a large intake for ITI-qualified candidates in Gujarat. Applications for the GSRTC Helper Recruitment 2026 can be submitted through the OJAS Gujarat portal from September 7, with the registration window remaining open until October 6, 2026.

The recruitment covers candidates trained in specified ITI trades including Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Welder, Machinist, Carpenter and automobile repair-related trades. Applicants must generally be between 18 and 35 years old, although the upper age limit extends for women, reserved categories, PwD candidates and ex-servicemen as prescribed.

The 2,510 vacancies are distributed across UR, EWS, SEBC, SC and ST categories, with separate female reservations within these categories. The recruitment also provides 502 posts for ex-servicemen and 52 posts for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) under the applicable reservation provisions.

Qualification for GSRTC Helper Recruitment

Candidates must have completed at least a one-year ITI course from a government-recognised institution in one of the prescribed trades.

Eligible trades include Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Mechanic Diesel, General Mechanic, Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Sheet Metal Worker, Automobile Body Repairer, Welder, Welder-cum-Fabricator, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter General and Automobile Paint Repairer.

Additional weightage is applicable for candidates possessing apprenticeship experience in the same trade.

GSRTC Helper Age Limit

The basic age requirement is 18 to 35 years. The maximum permissible age varies according to gender and reservation category.

Candidates should claim age relaxation only under the category for which they possess the required supporting documents.

Application Fee

The GSRTC Helper application fee differs between General and specified reserved-category applicants.

The fee is to be paid through the OJAS application system using the available payment facility.
