Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Bihta, Patna has announced recruitment for 41 Senior Resident and Super Specialist Senior Resident posts across clinical, pre/para-clinical and super-specialty departments. Selection will be conducted directly through walk-in interviews scheduled on September 8, 9 and 10, 2026.

The ESIC Bihta Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 is being conducted under Advertisement No. 11 of 2026. Candidates with MD, MS or DNB qualifications in the concerned specialty and valid NMC or State Medical Council registration can participate in the recruitment process. Applicants must report between 9:00 am and 11:00 am on the date specified for their post.

The appointments will initially be contractual for one year and carry basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month along with applicable allowances. There is no written examination, with final selection based on interview performance after verification of candidates’ eligibility and documents.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess MD, MS or DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognized university or institution.

For TB & Chest-related positions, MD/DNB in Pulmonary Medicine, Chest Medicine or Respiratory Medicine is also acceptable.

Applicants must hold valid registration with the National Medical Commission or the applicable State Medical Council.

Candidates awaiting their final postgraduate result may apply, but they must produce the required qualification certificate before the interview.

Salary

Selected Senior Residents will receive basic pay of Rs. 67,700 per month plus allowances as applicable.

Appointment Tenure

The appointment will initially be made on a contractual basis for one year and may be renewable according to the applicable conditions.

Selected candidates will be required to deposit Rs. 20,000 as security at the time of joining. The security deposit may be forfeited if the candidate leaves before completing one year.

The contractual appointment does not provide benefits such as PF, pension or gratuity.
