DAV Staff Recruitment 2026 Notification for Teaching and Non-Teaching Posts Released, Apply Online by October 8

DAV College Managing Committee (DAVCMC) has started the DAV Staff Recruitment 2026 process for teaching and ministerial/non-teaching positions in DAV schools across India for the academic session 2027–28. Online registration for the Centralised Computer Based Test (CBT) opened on September 16, 2026, with candidates required to submit their applications as “Form Ready for Verification” by October 8.

The recruitment covers PRT, TGT and PGT teachers in a wide range of subjects, Nursery/Pre-Primary Teachers and Counsellor/Wellness Teachers, along with LDC, UDC, Assistant, Receptionist, Library Assistant, Lab Assistant and Nurse positions. There is no single consolidated vacancy figure because individual DAV schools and zones advertise their requirements separately.

After online registration, candidates must complete document verification at a DAV Verification Centre. Those whose applications are verified and approved must pay a ₹300 CBT fee within seven days. The Centralised CBT is scheduled for December 2026, followed by Demo-cum-Interview rounds conducted by individual DAV schools.

DAV recruitment is conducted against requirements advertised by individual schools and zones. Candidates should therefore check the relevant state, school or zone advertisement to confirm whether their preferred post and subject has a vacancy.

PRT Posts

PRT positions may be advertised for English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer Science and regional languages including Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

Other PRT-level disciplines include Music, Dance, Painting/Art & Craft, Library Grade II and Physical Education.

TGT Posts

TGT vacancies may cover English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Computer Science, Music, Dance, Painting/Art, Library Grade I and Physical Education.

Regional-language TGT positions may include Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.

PGT Posts

PGT subjects include English, Hindi, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Political Science, Economics, Commerce, Computer Science, Psychology, Home Science, Sociology, Physical Education and Bengali.

Other Teaching Posts

DAV schools may also advertise vacancies for:

DAV Staff Qualification and Age Limit

Educational qualifications are prescribed according to the teaching or non-teaching position concerned and are detailed in the applicable school/zone recruitment advertisement.

The age limit is also governed by DAVCMC or concerned school rules, with applicable relaxation provided according to the prescribed conditions.

Candidates should note that only one post can be selected. Multiple or duplicate applications are not accepted under the recruitment process.

Applicants must use their own registered mobile number and personal email address throughout registration, verification, fee payment, CBT and subsequent recruitment stages.

DAV Recruitment Application Fee

The CBT application fee is ₹300 for candidates whose forms have successfully passed the verification process.

The fee is not paid at the initial registration stage. After physical verification, the DAV Verification Centre must first mark the application as “Verified and Approved for Payment.”

Candidates then have seven days from approval to pay ₹300 online through the recruitment portal. Only candidates who successfully complete the fee payment will be eligible to appear in the CBT.

Salary or pay-scale details have not been specified centrally and may depend on the concerned DAV school and post.

DAV Staff Recruitment Selection Process

The recruitment process is conducted in multiple phases, beginning with school/zone vacancy advertisements and centralised CBT registration.

Phase 1: Registration and Verification

Candidates first identify a suitable vacancy through DAV school or zone advertisements and complete the online CBT Registration Form.

The printed application and original testimonials must then be taken to a designated DAV Verification Centre for verification. Following approval, the candidate pays the CBT fee.

Phase 2: Centralised CBT

Candidates who complete verification and fee payment will appear for the Centralised Computer Based Test scheduled for December 2026.

After completion of the CBT process, a Provisional Eligibility Card (PEC) is expected to be issued within 15–20 days of the last CBT.

Phase 3: Demo-cum-Interview

Individual DAV schools will subsequently advertise their Demo-cum-Interview requirements.

Candidates must clear both the demonstration and interview stages to be considered for employment. A nominal handling fee may be charged by schools at the interview stage.

DAV CBT 2027–28 Exam Pattern

The detailed CBT pattern for the 2027–28 recruitment cycle is expected to be notified in November 2026.

The previously used pattern consisted of a 90-minute computer-based examination containing two consecutive papers in the same examination slot. Candidates should note that this is the previous year’s pattern and may be revised for CBT 2027–28.

Under the previous pattern, there was no negative marking.

Previous CBT Shift Timings

The previously followed examination schedule included morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Candidates should not assume that these timings will apply to the 2027–28 CBT. The current datesheet, examination pattern, centre preferences and Admit Card information are expected in November 2026.

Candidates appearing for the CBT will need their printed Admit Card, a recent colour passport-size photograph and an original government-issued photo ID matching the Admit Card.

How to Apply for DAV Staff Recruitment 2026

Candidates must complete online registration, physical document verification and CBT fee payment to complete the recruitment registration process.

1. Check the relevant DAV school or zone vacancy advertisement published between September 16 and 22, 2026, and identify the teaching or non-teaching post for which you are eligible.
2. Visit davrecruit.davcmc.in and register using your full name, personal mobile number and email address. Complete OTP verification and create a password.
3. Fill out the CBT Registration Form with the required personal, educational and post details.
4. Submit the application as “Form Ready for Verification” by October 8, 2026. Candidates should ensure that the information is correct before proceeding with verification.
5. Print the submitted form and visit the nearest designated DAV Verification Centre with the required original testimonials between September 25 and October 16, 2026.
6. After the Verification Centre marks the application “Verified and Approved for Payment,” pay the ₹300 CBT fee online within seven days. The application becomes locked after verification approval.
7. Follow the November 2026 instructions for selecting the CBT examination-centre preference and downloading the Admit Card.
8. Appear for the Centralised CBT in December 2026 on the allotted date, shift and examination centre.
9. Candidates who progress through the CBT process should subsequently follow individual DAV school advertisements for the Demo-cum-Interview stage.
