CTET September 2026 Application Reopened Until September 1, September 6 Exam Postponed

  • CBSE has reopened CTET September 2026 applications from August 25 to September 1, 2026.
  • The September 6 examination has been postponed, with the revised CTET exam date yet to be announced.
  • CTET includes Paper I for Classes I–V and Paper II for Classes VI–VIII, with each paper carrying 150 marks.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reopened online applications for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), providing an additional registration window from August 25 to September 1, 2026. Candidates who could not submit their forms during the original application period can use the reopened window through the official CTET portal.

In another significant change, the CTET September 2026 examination scheduled for September 6 has been postponed. CBSE will announce the revised examination date separately. Candidates should therefore treat the earlier September 6 schedule as cancelled and monitor the CTET portal for the new examination programme.

The original application process ran from May 11 to June 10, followed by an application correction window from June 15 to June 18. CTET is conducted at the national level for determining teacher eligibility, with Paper I intended for Classes I to V and Paper II for Classes VI to VIII.
