Central Institute of Himalayan Culture Studies (CIHCS), Dahung, Arunachal Pradesh, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, has released the CIHCS Recruitment 2026 notification for 3 Assistant Professor vacancies in various disciplines. The recruitment includes posts in Bhot Bouddh Shastra, Bhoti (Tibetan), and English. Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must possess the required postgraduate qualification in the relevant discipline with at least 55% marks or Grade B in a 7-point scale.
• Equivalent qualifications from Traditional Monastic Educational Institutions are acceptable for specified disciplines.
• Age limit and relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
• Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements before the closing date of application.

Educational Requirement

• Assistant Professor in Bhot Bouddh Shastra:
  • Postgraduate Degree from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks or Grade B in a 7-point scale.
  • Equivalent qualification from a Traditional Monastic Educational Institution is acceptable.
• Assistant Professor in Bhoti (Tibetan):
  • Postgraduate Degree in Bhoti (Tibetan) Language with a minimum of 55% marks or Grade B in a 7-point scale.
  • Equivalent qualification from a Traditional Monastic Educational Institution is acceptable.
• Assistant Professor in English:
  • Postgraduate Degree in English from a recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks.

Salary

• Pay Level: Level 10 (7th CPC)
• Grade Pay: ₹5,400
• Additional allowances will be applicable as per Government of India rules.

Age Limit

• Age limit: As per Government of India norms.
• Age relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories as per Government rules.
