Bengaluru Rural District Court Stenographer Eligibility

Candidates should have passed 2nd PUC or Class 12, or possess a three-year Diploma in Commercial Practice or another recognized equivalent qualification.

Applicants must also possess Senior Grade Shorthand and Typewriting qualifications in both Kannada and English from the Department of Public Instruction or another recognized authority.

Basic computer knowledge is mandatory because the skill test includes computer-based transcription.

Bengaluru Rural District Court Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years.

A one-time additional relaxation of five years has been specified under the recruitment conditions. Further relaxation for eligible government servants, widows, Ex-Servicemen, PwD candidates and other categories will be governed by Karnataka Civil Services Rules.

Bengaluru Rural District Court Selection Process

Selection will primarily be based on a shorthand and typing skill test conducted in Kannada and English.

Candidates must secure at least 50 marks out of 100 in each language to qualify.

Those who perform successfully in the skill test may be shortlisted for interview in a ratio of 1:5 based on their marks. Final merit will be prepared according to the prescribed combination of skill test and interview performance.

Probation Period

Selected candidates will undergo a probation period of two years.
