BEL Senior Engineer Recruitment 2026 Notice Out: Apply to 12 Computer Science and Electronics Vacancies by September 29

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a Navratna company under the Ministry of Defence, has opened online applications for 12 Senior Engineer (E-III) vacancies for its Export Manufacturing SBU at Bangalore Complex, Jalahalli. The recruitment covers Computer Science and Electronics engineering roles in database and software development, embedded systems and 3D visual software development.

The BEL Senior Engineer Recruitment 2026 is being conducted under Advertisement No. BGEM/2627/09/01, issued on September 9, 2026. Online registration started the same day and will remain open until September 29. Candidates must have four years of relevant industrial experience, with eligibility for age and experience determined as on August 1, 2026.

Appointments will initially be on a fixed-term basis for five years, extendable by another two years based on requirements and applicable conditions. Senior Engineers will receive the E-III pay scale of ₹50,000–3%–₹1,60,000. Selection consists of a written examination in Bengaluru followed by an interview for candidates shortlisted in a 1:7 ratio.

The 12 vacancies are divided among three job codes. Computer Science accounts for seven positions across two domains, while five openings are available for Electronics engineers.

Qualification and Experience

All three job codes require a four-year full-time B.E., B.Tech or B.Sc. Engineering qualification in the prescribed discipline along with four years of relevant industrial experience as on August 1, 2026.

EMCS01 – Database & Software Development

Candidates should possess a full-time engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology or Information Science.

Relevant roles cover database administration and software development. The specified technical areas include MS SQL certification, ETL, MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL and dashboards for database roles.

Software development requirements include technologies such as Java, React, APIs and hardware interfaces, while React UI-related work may involve React, C#, dashboards and version-control systems.

EMEC02 – Embedded System Development

Candidates require a full-time engineering degree in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Relevant experience includes embedded system development for medical electronics and EVM-related hardware/firmware.

Technical areas include 32-bit microcontrollers, UART, SPI, I2C, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, Embedded C, Python and PCB development. Depending on the role, experience with standards and regulatory areas such as ISO 13485, IEC 60601, EMI/EMC, CDSCO, FDA and CE is also relevant.

EMCS03 – 3D Visual Software Development

The educational qualification is in Computer Science/CSE, IT or Information Science as prescribed for the Computer Science positions.

Candidates need relevant experience in 3D visual software development, including Unity3D and/or Unreal Engine, C# scripting, VR and 3D programming. Experience with tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects is also specified.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for an unreserved candidate is 35 years as on August 1, 2026.

Candidates claiming relaxation must possess the prescribed valid category or disability certificate.

BEL Senior Engineer Salary

All 12 Senior Engineer vacancies are in the E-III grade with the following pay scale:

The appointment is for a fixed term of five years, which may be extended by up to two additional years under the applicable conditions.

Application Fee

General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay ₹472, comprising the ₹400 application fee plus 18% GST.

Payment must be made through SBI Collect. Candidates paying the fee need to enter the SBI Collect reference number in their online application.

The fee, once paid, will not be refunded. Payment by cash, cheque or Demand Draft is not accepted.

Written Test and Interview

Candidates whose online applications are accepted will be provisionally shortlisted for the written examination, which will be conducted in Bengaluru.

Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be shortlisted for interview in a 1:7 ratio.

Written-test results will be published through the BEL website. Candidates will receive an SMS/email alert regarding the call letter but will need to download the actual call letter from the BEL website.

Eligible outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed AC Chair Car or 3-tier AC rail fare by the shortest route according to the applicable conditions.

Posting and Fixed-Term Engagement

The positions are intended for BEL’s Export Manufacturing SBU at Bangalore Complex, Jalahalli.

Candidates should, however, be prepared for travel and posting anywhere in India depending on project and organizational requirements.

The initial fixed-term engagement is five years and can be extended by another two years subject to requirements and applicable BEL conditions.

Documents Required

Candidates should keep the prescribed photograph and supporting records ready while completing the online application. These include the Class 10 marks card for date-of-birth proof, engineering degree and consolidated marks records, and CGPA-to-percentage conversion proof where applicable.

Category/EWS/PwBD certificates, relevant industrial experience certificates, payslips, identity proof, the required experience write-up and SBI Collect payment proof should also be uploaded where applicable.

Candidates employed in Government organizations or PSUs will be required to produce a No Objection Certificate at the interview.
