Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 Notice Out: Online Form for 205 Officer, Manager and Chief Manager Vacancies Till September 25

Bank of India (BOI) has announced recruitment for 205 Specialist Officer positions across Junior Management, Middle Management and Senior Management grades. The recruitment covers Chief Manager, Senior Manager, Manager and Officer positions in specialist areas including Full-Stack Engineering, Digital Platforms, Information Security, Data Engineering, Law and Fire Safety.

Online registration for Bank of India SO Recruitment 2026 will begin on September 10 and continue until September 25. Candidates must meet the post-specific educational qualification, professional experience and age requirements prescribed for their chosen specialist stream as on August 1, 2026.

The largest share of vacancies is at Manager or MMGS-II level, with 118 positions, followed by 49 Senior Manager, 28 Officer and 10 Chief Manager posts. Depending on the number of eligible applications, Bank of India may conduct an online examination followed by an interview or make selections through the interview process.

Age Limit

Age requirements vary according to the scale and specialist position. The relevant date for determining age and qualification is August 1, 2026.

BOI Specialist Officer Selection Process

Bank of India may conduct an online examination and/or personal interview depending on the number of eligible applications and the requirements of the recruitment process.

Where an online examination is conducted, the test will include English Language and Professional Knowledge.

The English Language section is qualifying in nature. The stated minimum qualifying marks are 35% for General/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

There will be a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for each incorrect answer.

Personal Interview

The interview carries a maximum of 100 marks.

The minimum qualifying requirement is 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

If both the online examination and interview are conducted, final selection will use a 60:40 weightage between the online test and interview respectively.

If the online examination is not conducted, selection may be made on the basis of the interview, subject to the recruitment conditions.

Applications may also be shortlisted on the basis of the qualifications, certifications, professional experience and documents submitted by candidates.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Only one application should be submitted by each candidate. Where multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid application will be retained according to the recruitment conditions.

OBC candidates claiming reservation must produce the required Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after April 1, 2026. EWS applicants must provide the applicable Income and Asset Certificate for financial year 2025-26.

Candidates employed with Government departments, quasi-government organizations or public sector undertakings must produce a No Objection Certificate when required at the interview stage.

Where the notification prescribes minimum marks of 60%, a five-percentage-point relaxation is available for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, bringing the requirement to 55%, subject to the post-specific conditions.

  11. Pay the applicable Rs. 175 or Rs. 1,180 application fee through the online payment facility.
