Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) has announced recruitment for 40 tenure-based technical positions for production work at Gun & Shell Factory (GSF), Kashipur. The openings cover six trades — Electrical Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Machinist, Turner, Electroplater and Heat Treatment Operator.

Applications for the AWEIL GSF Kashipur Recruitment 2026 are being accepted through offline mode, with October 7, 2026, specified as the last date for receipt of applications. Candidates must send the completed prescribed form with supporting documents through Speed Post or Registered Post; there is no online application process for these posts.

The recruitment is primarily aimed at candidates possessing Matriculation along with an NTC or NAC in the relevant trade. Mechanical Fitter has the largest allocation with 14 vacancies, followed by Turner with seven, Machinist and Electroplater with six each, Electrical Fitter with four and Heat Treatment Operator with three.

The 40 vacancies are distributed across six production-related technical trades. Of these, 28 are unreserved, six are reserved for SC candidates, five for OBC candidates and one for EWS.

Qualification for Technical Posts

Candidates must have passed Matriculation/Class 10 and possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the relevant trade issued by NCVT.

The trade qualification must correspond to the technical position for which the candidate is applying. Applicants should therefore verify the exact trade equivalence in the detailed recruitment notification before sending the application.

Age Limit

The basic age limit is 18 to 35 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications. Relaxation is available to eligible reserved and special categories.

The Class 10 board certificate will be accepted as proof of date of birth.

AWEIL GSF Kashipur Salary

Selected candidates will receive consolidated remuneration linked to the basic pay applicable to Level 1, approximately ₹18,000–₹56,900, along with Dearness Allowance as applicable.

The engagement also provides for a 3% annual increment, House Rent Allowance where government/company accommodation is not provided, EPF and coverage under the Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, subject to the recruitment conditions.

The ₹100 fee is to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Ishapore.”

Selection Process

Selection will begin with shortlisting based on marks obtained in the relevant NCVT examination. AWTM will determine the cut-off used to call candidates for the next stage.

Shortlisted applicants will undergo a Trade Test/Practical Test. Final merit will be prepared by assigning 80% weightage to NCVT marks and 20% to Trade Test marks.

The recruitment process comprises:

Candidates will be called for document verification in the prescribed ratio.
