Arunachal Pradesh PSC Recruitment Announced for 37 Finance, Treasury, Prosecution and Public Prosecutor Posts, Apply Online by October 12 2026

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced 37 Group A and Group B Gazetted vacancies in the state’s Finance and Home departments through the Common Recruitment Examination 2026 (Part-II). Applications will open at 5 PM on September 21 and remain available until 5 PM on October 12, 2026.

The recruitment under Advertisement No. 06/2026 covers seven Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer posts, seven Sub-Treasury Officer posts, five Assistant Director (Prosecution) vacancies and 18 Assistant Public Prosecutor positions. The advertised salary ranges from Pay Level 7 at ₹44,900–₹1,42,400 to Pay Level 10 at ₹56,100–₹1,77,500, depending on the post.

Eligibility differs between the Finance and Home Department positions. Finance-related posts require specified bachelor’s degree qualifications, while the prosecution vacancies require a Bachelor of Law and seven years of relevant criminal-law practice or other specified experience. Candidates must also satisfy the prescribed Arunachal Pradesh permanent residence, APST and indigenous tribal language requirements.

APPSC Vacancy Details 2026

Assistant Public Prosecutor accounts for 18 of the 37 vacancies, making it the largest post category in this recruitment.

Of the seven Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer positions, one is reserved for PwBD candidates under the Deaf & Hard of Hearing/Partially Deaf category.

Educational Qualification

Candidates appearing in the final semester of the qualifying course for Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer or Sub-Treasury Officer may apply. They must, however, produce proof of passing the qualifying examination in original on or before the interview date fixed by APPSC.

Applicants for Assistant Director (Prosecution) and Assistant Public Prosecutor must provide the prescribed seven-year experience certificate or applicable Magistrate appointment order with the online application.

Mandatory Arunachal Pradesh Eligibility Conditions

Candidates must be Indian citizens and inhabitants of Arunachal Pradesh holding a valid Permanent Residence Certificate. They are also required to be original inhabitants of the state and possess an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) certificate.

Applicants must be able to speak an indigenous tribal language of Arunachal Pradesh and have working knowledge of the state’s local indigenous tribes.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

Selection will primarily be based on a written examination followed by viva-voce. The written examination carries 450 marks, while the viva-voce carries another 50 marks, bringing the selection examination to 500 marks.

For Finance & Accounts Officer/Treasury Officer and Sub-Treasury Officer, the concerned subject is one of Commerce, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics.

For Assistant Director (Prosecution) and Assistant Public Prosecutor, Paper I covers Core Criminal Laws, while Paper II covers Constitutional Law and Other Special Legislations.

Candidates generally need an aggregate of 33% in the written examination and at least 20% in each paper/subject to qualify for viva-voce. For PwBD candidates, the prescribed thresholds are an aggregate of 20% and at least 10% in each paper/subject.

Approximately three times the number of advertised vacancies will be called for the interview stage.

Screening Test if Applications are High

APPSC may conduct an objective Recruitment Test as a screening mechanism if the number of applicants exceeds the required ratio.

The screening test marks will not be included in the final merit calculation. Candidates up to 12 times the number of advertised vacancies may be admitted to the main written examination from the qualified pool.

Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not more than 35 years of age as on October 12, 2026.

The date of birth recorded in the candidate’s recognized Board Matriculation Certificate will be used for determining age.

Salary and Pay Scale

Application Fee

The online application fee is ₹200. PwBD applicants are exempt from paying the fee under the applicable Arunachal Pradesh disability rules.

Documents Required

Applicants should have their photograph, signature, photo identity document, APST certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate, bachelor’s degree certificate and all-semester/year mark sheets ready for upload.

Candidates applying for prosecution posts must also provide the prescribed experience certificate or other applicable evidence of professional eligibility.

Government employees seeking applicable age relaxation must submit proof of the required continuous regular service along with a No Objection Certificate from the Head of Department. PwBD candidates must provide the prescribed disability documentation.

1. Visit the APPSC online application portal and complete One Time Registration if not already registered.
2. Existing OTR candidates can log in with their registered User ID and password.
3. Open the application for Advertisement No. 06/2026 from September 21, 2026, at 5 PM.
4. Select the appropriate Finance or Home Department post and complete all required details.
5. Upload the photograph, signature, photo ID, APST certificate, PRC, educational documents and experience certificates applicable to the selected post.
6. Pay the ₹200 application fee online unless eligible for the PwBD exemption.
7. Review the application carefully before final submission.
8. Submit only one application. Where multiple applications are submitted, only the application carrying the highest Registration ID will be accepted, and fees for other applications will not be adjusted.
9. Complete the application no later than 5 PM on October 12, 2026 and retain the submitted form for reference.
