APPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification Download Available: 299 Vacancies Across 8 Posts, Applications Open October 16

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Vijayawada, has announced a new recruitment drive covering 299 provisional vacancies across eight posts in various State services. Brief notifications issued on September 15 include openings for Executive Officer Grade-III, Industrial Promotion Officer, Supervisor Grade-I, Forest Range Officer, Forest Section Officer, Forest Beat Officer and other cadres.

The detailed APPSC Recruitment 2026 notifications are scheduled to be released on or before October 16, 2026. Online applications will open on October 16 and remain available until 11:59 PM on November 5. Candidates should note that the present vacancy figures are provisional and may change following final confirmation from the respective departments.

A significant feature of the recruitment is the selection method. APPSC has indicated that recruitment for all eight posts will be conducted through a single-level Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT), without a separate screening test. Post-specific age limits, application fees and some remaining eligibility conditions will be confirmed through the detailed notifications.

APPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification

The Commission has issued eight brief notifications for the 299 vacancies. Executive Officer Grade-III accounts for the largest share with 104 posts, followed by 78 Industrial Promotion Officer vacancies.

The vacancy numbers are provisional and may be revised after the concerned departments confirm their requirements.

Post-wise Qualification

For Executive Officer Grade-III, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university, UGC-recognized institution or an equivalent qualification.

The qualification for Industrial Promotion Officer will be specified in the detailed notification.

Supervisor Grade-I is open only to women candidates. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Science, BSW or Sociology, or an eligible B.Sc. qualification in specified areas such as Food Science & Nutrition, Applied Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics or Food Technology with the prescribed related subjects.

Forest Section Officer applicants need a Bachelor’s Degree with one of the specified subjects, including Botany, Forestry, Horticulture, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology or Agriculture. Degrees in Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering are also among the listed qualifications. Candidates will additionally have to meet the physical standards prescribed in the detailed notification.

For Forest Beat Officer, Intermediate or an equivalent qualification is required. Applicable physical standards will be specified by APPSC.

Draughtsman Grade-II (Technical Assistant) requires an ITI or Trade Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil), or an equivalent qualification.

District Probation Officer Grade-II / Intake Probation Officer applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology; alternatively, graduates with an M.A. in Social Work or Psychology are eligible. An M.A. with specialization in Criminology or Correctional Administration is also among the prescribed qualifications.

Forest Range Officer requires a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the notified disciplines, including Agriculture, Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Veterinary Science or Zoology, as well as specified Engineering disciplines. Candidates must also satisfy the applicable physical standards.

The required educational qualification must be held as on the date of the respective detailed notification, which will serve as the crucial date for determining eligibility.

Age Limit and Application Fee

Post-wise age limits have not been specified in the brief notifications. APPSC will publish the applicable minimum and maximum ages, cut-off date and relaxation provisions in the detailed notifications.

Application and examination fee details are also to be announced. Candidates should therefore verify these conditions before submitting their online forms from October 16.

APPSC Selection Process

Selection for the eight advertised posts will be conducted through a single-level Computer Based Recruitment Test. APPSC has stated that there will be no separate screening test.

Where the CBRT is conducted in multiple sessions, normalization of marks will be applied. Candidates qualifying under the applicable recruitment criteria will subsequently be called for document verification.

For Executive Officer Grade-III, the examination consists of Paper I on General Studies & Mental Ability for 150 marks and Paper II on Hindu Philosophy & Temple System for 150 marks. A penalty of one-third mark will apply for each incorrect answer.

2. Visit the APPSC online portal and complete or update the required One Time Profile/registration using valid contact details.
3. Select the relevant recruitment notification and enter the required personal, educational, community and other information.
4. Upload the prescribed photograph, signature and supporting documents in the required format.
5. Pay the applicable application or examination fee, if prescribed in the detailed notification.
6. Review the information carefully and submit the online application by 11:59 PM on November 5, 2026.
7. Save or print the submitted application for use during subsequent stages of recruitment.
