APPSC 04/2026 Recruitment Notice Out for 155 Group A and B Technical Posts; Applications Begin September 10

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced a Common Recruitment Examination for 155 Group-A and Group-B Gazetted Technical vacancies across several departments of the Arunachal Pradesh Government. Advertisement No. 04/2026 covers Agriculture Development Officer, Horticulture Development Officer, Veterinary Officer, Assistant Director (Sericulture) and Dairy Development Officer posts.

Online applications for APPSC Recruitment 2026 will open at 5:00 PM on September 10 and close before 5:00 PM on September 30. Candidates must meet the prescribed qualification for their respective technical post and satisfy the residence, certificate, age and language requirements laid down for the recruitment.

Most of the vacancies are Group-A positions carrying Level-10 pay of ₹56,100–₹1,77,500, while the Dairy Development Officer position is classified as Group-B with Level-6 pay of ₹35,400–₹1,12,400. Depending on the number of applicants, APPSC may conduct a screening Recruitment Test before the Main Written Examination and interview.

Residence, PRC and Language Requirements

Applicants must be Indian citizens and Permanent Residents of Arunachal Pradesh with a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC).

Candidates are also required to hold an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) certificate and must be able to speak an Indigenous Tribal Language of Arunachal Pradesh with working knowledge of the local tribes.

APPSC Selection Process

APPSC may initially conduct an objective Recruitment Test if the number of applications exceeds the prescribed ratio.

The screening Recruitment Test will carry 200 marks and cover the concerned subject. Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:12 ratio for the Main Written Examination.

The subsequent written examination and interview carry a combined 500 marks:

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview in a 1:3 ratio.

General/APST candidates must obtain at least 33% in aggregate and a minimum of 20% in each paper. For PwBD candidates, the qualifying requirement is 20% aggregate with at least 10% in each paper.

The examination will be conducted in the Itanagar Capital Region.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age as on September 30, 2026.

Applicable relaxation includes:

  • APST candidates: up to 5 years
  • PwBD candidates: up to 10 years
  • APST-PwBD candidates: up to 15 years
