AIIMS Jodhpur Faculty 2026 Recruitment Notice Released for 190 Professor, Associate and Assistant Professor Vacancies Across 40 Departments

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur has invited online applications for 190 Group ‘A’ Faculty positions across 40 departments. The recruitment under Advertisement No. Admn/Faculty/04/2026-AIIMS.JDH includes Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts, with Assistant Professor accounting for 113 of the total vacancies.

Eligible Indian nationals and OCI Cardholders can submit online applications until 5:00 PM on September 12, 2026. Eligibility varies considerably by faculty grade and department, with the notification prescribing MD/MS, DM/M.Ch, Master’s degree with Doctorate, or other specialty-specific qualifications along with the required post-qualification teaching or research experience.

AIIMS Jodhpur issued the faculty recruitment notification on August 14, 2026 for appointments across medical, surgical, super-specialty and other departments. The 190 vacancies are divided among four faculty grades, with 34 Professor, 17 Additional Professor, 26 Associate Professor and 113 Assistant Professor positions.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Faculty eligibility depends on the grade, specialty and whether the position falls under a general medical, super-specialty or non-medical discipline.

Medical qualifications must be recognized by NMC/MCI. Candidates possessing DNB/DrNB qualifications are required to provide documentary evidence establishing equivalence with the applicable MD/MS/DM/M.Ch qualification.

Only experience obtained after acquiring the essential qualifying degree will be counted.

Professor

For general medical disciplines, candidates generally require the prescribed MD/MS qualification along with 14 years of teaching and/or research experience.

For medical super-specialties, MD/MS followed by the prescribed DM/M.Ch qualification is required, along with 12 years of experience for the specified 2/5-year course route or 11 years for the 3/6-year course route.

For eligible non-medical disciplines, candidates require a relevant Master’s degree, Doctorate and 14 years of teaching/research experience.

Additional Professor

Candidates in general medical disciplines require the prescribed MD/MS qualification with 10 years of teaching/research experience.

For super-specialties, the requirement is MD/MS with DM/M.Ch and eight years of experience under the specified 2/5-year course route or seven years under the 3/6-year route.

Eligible non-medical candidates require a Master’s degree, Doctorate and 10 years of teaching/research experience.

Associate Professor

General medical discipline applicants generally require MD/MS with six years of teaching/research experience.

For super-specialty positions, candidates need MD/MS and DM/M.Ch with four years of experience under the specified 2/5-year course route or three years under the 3/6-year route.

For eligible non-medical positions, a relevant Master’s degree, Doctorate and six years of teaching/research experience are required.

Assistant Professor

Age Limit

Age eligibility will be determined as of September 12, 2026.

The stated relaxation is five years for SC/ST candidates, three years for OBC candidates and five years for PwBD candidates. Government servants and Ex-Servicemen are eligible for relaxation of up to five years as applicable under the rules.

Relaxation is not applicable against unreserved posts.

AIIMS Jodhpur Faculty Selection Process

There is no written examination for AIIMS Jodhpur Faculty Recruitment 2026.

Selection consists of two main stages:

1. Bio-data Shortlisting
2. Personal Interview

Applications will first be scrutinized and candidates shortlisted for interview on the basis of their bio-data. Shortlisted candidates will then have to appear for a Personal Interview at AIIMS Jodhpur.

Candidates called for interview must attend at their own expense, as no TA/DA will be paid.

Application Fee

The ₹200 fee applicable to SC, ST, Women and PwBD applicants is refundable, after deduction of applicable bank charges, only to candidates who actually appear for the interview.
