RPSC has released the School Lecturer PGT Result 2026 following the written examination conducted from May 31 to June 11, 2026. The recruitment process was originally notified in July 2025, while online applications were accepted from August 14 to September 12, 2025. Candidates who participated in the examination can now check the result through the official RPSC portal. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 3,225 School Lecturer vacancies.

RPSC School Lecturer Result 2026 Released

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission has made the School Lecturer recruitment result available for candidates who took part in the examination held between May 31 and June 11. Applicants should check their result and related notices carefully to determine their status in the recruitment process.

Candidates may be required to use their application or registration details while accessing relevant information through the RPSC portal. Those shortlisted through the examination will have to follow further instructions issued by the Commission regarding subsequent stages of recruitment.

The notification for the recruitment was issued on July 17, 2025. Applications opened on August 14 and closed on September 12, 2025, which was also the last date for payment of the application fee. RPSC subsequently released examination city information on May 24, followed by admit cards on May 28, 2026.

RPSC School Lecturer Vacancy 2026

A total of 3,225 vacancies were announced under the RPSC School Lecturer recruitment. The posts are distributed among 27 subjects and coaching disciplines. Commerce carries the highest number of vacancies at 430, followed by Political Science with 350 posts, English with 307 posts and Geography with 270 posts. Hindi has 710 vacancies, making it another major subject under the recruitment drive.

RPSC School Lecturer Eligibility Criteria

For subjects including Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Rajasthani, Punjabi, Urdu, History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Sociology and Public Administration, candidates were required to hold a postgraduate or equivalent qualification recognized by the UGC in the relevant subject along with a Degree or Diploma in Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education or the government.

For Home Science, candidates needed a postgraduate or equivalent qualification recognized by the UGC or Indian Council of Agricultural Research in Home Science along with the prescribed Degree or Diploma in Education.

Candidates applying for Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics were required to possess a postgraduate or equivalent qualification recognized by the UGC in the relevant subject together with the required education degree or diploma.

For Biology, the accepted postgraduate disciplines included Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Science and Bio Science, subject to the prescribed conditions. Candidates were also required to have studied Botany and Zoology at the graduation level and possess the stipulated Degree or Diploma in Education.

Commerce applicants were required to possess the prescribed postgraduate qualification in Commerce. Depending on their academic route, candidates were also required to fulfil conditions related to B.Com or teaching subjects prescribed for Higher Secondary Commerce classes by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Ajmer. A recognized Degree or Diploma in Education was also required.

For Drawing, applicants needed a postgraduate or equivalent qualification in Drawing or another qualification declared equivalent by the government. A four or five-year Diploma in Arts from a government-recognized school or college of arts was also accepted under the prescribed conditions. Music candidates similarly needed a postgraduate or equivalent qualification in Music or a qualification recognized as equivalent by the government.

Physical Education applicants were required to be graduates or possess an equivalent UGC-recognized qualification along with a postgraduate qualification in Physical Education or a two-year M.P.Ed. recognized by the NCTE.

For Coach posts in Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Kabaddi and Table Tennis, candidates needed a graduate or equivalent qualification along with a Degree or Diploma in Physical Education and a full-time National Institute of Sports certificate from an NIS branch.

Candidates across the relevant posts were additionally required to have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan’s culture.

RPSC School Lecturer Age Limit

The prescribed age limit was calculated as of January 1, 2026. Candidates were required to be at least 21 years old, while the general upper age limit was 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable to eligible categories according to RPSC and Rajasthan government recruitment rules.

RPSC School Lecturer Application Fee

The application fee was ₹600 for General category and candidates from other states. SC, ST, OBC and BC category candidates were required to pay ₹400, while the correction charge was ₹500. The prescribed fee could be paid online through options including debit card, credit card, internet banking, IMPS and supported cash card or mobile wallet facilities.

RPSC School Lecturer Selection Process

The recruitment process includes a written examination followed by document verification and medical examination. Candidates qualifying at each applicable stage will be considered for appointment subject to fulfilment of eligibility requirements, verification of original documents and other conditions prescribed by RPSC.
